He's still a great rapper but really, it doesn't exactly take a rocket scientist to figure out that by dissing Lil Wayne and Drake you can pull a massive (and annoying) fanbase from youtube. No hopsin is super anti- weed. Hes straight edge, hes super anti any substance. But he has a ton of songs about weed in particular, and talks about how it makes everyone lazy and will make you stupid on his facebook about once a month. Edit: Not whole songs bashing weed, but a bunch of lines in many songs.
He isn't anti weed. If he was he wouldn't have dizzy on his label... he's against smoking because you see people like snoop and wiz etc do it and do it to be cool. And against living a life that revolveds around weed and doing nothing but thinking about and smoking bud.
I think he's a little corny. I agree with a lot of the stuff he says, but he comes off as way too preachy IMO. It's possible to address the issues our (18/25yo) generation is facing without denouncing everyone who he thinks is fucking up. He comes across as someone who thinks he's better than the people around him. He's not gonna change the minds of the people he's talking about. Other rappers do it better, Kendrick Lamar with A.D.H.D. and Ronald Reagan Era for example.
