If you saw parents hotboxing a car with children inside, what would you do?

    I'm a manager at a national business chain. I was in the parking lot today vaping when I saw a car cruising around our parking lot blasting music... driving slowly then parking on the side. I instantly smelled the weed and could see smoke seeping out of the car. At my workplace, tons of customers come in high... it happens several times a week... however,

    Today as I'm watching the car, I see two grown women step out of the front seats and smoke is POURING out... they were not discrete at all, the entire car was a hotbox. Then I see three small children come out of the back... the oldest looked maybe 8, the youngest 4 or 5.

    They came into the business and immediately all my employees mention that it smells overwhelmingly like a blunt all the sudden. The two women are very loud, belligerent, and the kids 100 percent smell like weed.

    I called my boss and asked if I am supposed to do anything if people are smoking illegal drugs on our property with children in the car... I told my boss the entire staff said how it smells like weed. They told me not to call the police and just to let it slide.

    I was just curious what the entire community here would think and or do if they saw parents literally hotboxing a car with young children inside. I didn't really want to call the cops or anything but I felt I may have had some sort of responsibility to step in.

    I guess I felt since I was in charge of the establishment and witnessed child abuse on my property firsthand that I was supposed to step in and report the illegal activity and that these might be parents who seriously abuse their children yet no one knows, and the only way anyone would have known was for someone like me to speak up on a hint of something not being right... :/, really dabbed out right now on this rosin and I'm having self doubt and anxiety about this!

    try not to worry about it dude just because they're raising their kids in an unsafe manner isn't your fault just hope nothing happens to this kids plus what could u do at this point...

    Just my opinion and probably won't be a popular one but... Personally I would have called the cops, same as I would if someone was driving their kids around drunk, only in this case the kids have to breathe the smoke in too. It's child abuse in my opinion. There's absolutely no excuse for hotboxing with little kids then driving them around blazed, that shit is dangerous and selfish not to mention it just contributes more to the irresponsible stoner stereotype. But to be fair Cheeto, you asked your boss and they told you not to call the police, so you shouldn't beat yourself up about it. If it happens again maybe you might deal with it differently?
