If you had to make a music super group...

Discussion in 'Music genres, Bands and Artists' started by Piffman23, Jan 17, 2010.

  1. what would your groups name be....and who would be in it?

this can be a rap group..rock group..any genre...you can even mix and match.

  2. does everyone have to be alive?

  3. the current disco biscuit crew, mike rempel from lotus as an extra guitar and Darren Shearer from new deal on drums..

  4. nah..thats why its a supergroup lol

  5. cool ass thread, good idea. my super group would include John Fogerty (rhythm guitar and vocals), Neal Peart (drums), Flea (bass), Jimi hendrix (lead guitar). i would call the band "The Creedence Chili Rush Experience".

  6. Lead Vocals: Neil Young
Backup Vocals: Peter Tosh, Rita Marley, Judy Mowatt, Marcia Griffiths
    Lead Guitar: Duane Allman
    Rythm Guitar 1: Robbie Robertson
    Rythm Guitar 2: Bob Weir
    Bass: John Entwhistle
Drums: Mitch Mitchell and Ginger Baker

  7. Big Pun, M.O.P., and prolly Busta Rhymes.

The group would be called New York Giants

  8. Vocals: Jim Morrison/John Lennon
    Guitar: Jimi Hendrix/David Gilmour
    Keyboard: Ray Manzarek
    Drums: Jon Bonham

I'm terribly uncreative with names so I would leave that up to somebody else.
And i don't need a bass player because manzarek played most of the bass tones on his double stacked keyboard.

  9. Rakim
    Nas
    Lauryn Hill
    J Dilla
    DJ Premier

  10. Panda Bear
    Thom Yorke
    Jack White

  11. i would called it the Conscience Coalition..a 9 man member sorta like the Wu..just not rele that violent lol

    Producers:
    9th Wonder
    RZA
    Pete Rock

    Rappers:
    Phonte
    Nas
    Black Thought

    Singers:
    Marsha Ambrosius
    Lauryn Hill
    Sade

  12. Lord Finesse

ok this shit would be intense.

2 drummers(grateful dead style): joey jordison and brann dailor
guitarists: buckethead, dave mustaine, brent hinds... i guess 3 is plenty.
    bassists: steve harris
vocals: phil anselmo(the style in cowboys from hell, not his later vocals)
keyboards: ronald jenkees!!! (if he was into metal)

these are just some of the first to pop into my head, i could make like10 supergroups at least.

do all the members have to be alive, or can they be dead too?

this one might be weird but...
    Guitar: Buckethead, Dimebag, Daron Malakian
Bass: Cliff Burton, Fieldy [from korn]
Drums: Joey Jordison, Anders Nordin [Opeth]
Vocals: Aaron Lewis, Ronnie James Dio

  20. Roger Waters-Bass, backup vocals
    Syd Barrett-Lead Vocals, rhythm guitar
    Eric Clapton-Lead guitar, backup vocals
    Ginger Baker-Drums

Basically a mix of early Floyd and Cream.
