IF weed was legal...

Discussion in 'Experienced Cannabis Enthusiasts' started by xxloserboy76xx, Feb 26, 2010.

  1. would it be cheaper? or would it be current medical prices with 398 taxes on it?

  2. thats why its 'ILLEGAL" if it was legal the world would be a better place..it would also be cheaper cus a lot of weed would be on the street

  3. In my opinion, legal weed would do the same thing it did to tobacco. It will of course absolutely withdraw any potential problems with crime, and also secure you from being ripped off by some shady dealers. However, it is likely that weed is going to be highly taxed, with prices ranging a bit cheaper than what it is now. Large companies will take schwag weed and modify it with chemicals and other shit to produce commercial weed cigarettes, just like they throw the bullshit in tobacco. People will start smoking that horrible shit and then studies will pop up claiming that weed is addictive, when in reality its all the chemicals that companies add. Also, weed is going to be not very easy to obtain for the younger generation, and my prediction is that age limit for weed is going to be 21, like alcohol, because of the intoxication that one recieves after smoking weed. It is likely that there will be less and less young smokers, which means smokers in general, because most of us experimented and found out the pleasures of weed while in high school, and very rarely would people want to experiment with weed after the age of 21, just like a person who doesn't smoke ciggaretes wouldn't usually start after 21. Of course this applies to next generations since we already know all the benefits of weed : ) Dank and Chronic will be sold like premium tobacco is sold now, and will be used only by select few "gourmands" while most of us will smoke commercial shit.

To sum up, legalization has its pros and cons. In my opinion, decriminalization and no punishment for possesion (like in netherlands) is the best way for weed, rather than total legalization, which may result in large corporations taking advantage of weed

Thats about it. Smoke up and enjoy your night

  4. i dont think there would be less people smoking weed in high school because most kids in high school smoke ciggerates and drink.

  5. cheaper. simply supply and demand.

also a big reason its expensive now is because the fact its illegal. big risk with the law=money in the bank

there will be taxes but itll still be cheaper than what you pay now.

  6. My thoughts exactly.

  7. If it was legalized I would start a massive grow in a heartbeat. I would most likely never buy anything produced by these same insane corps who put all these chemicals and shit into cigs(not that I smoke cigs, but its still retarded).

  8. id try out those Marlboros!

  9. You dont think theyd either completely ban or seriously restrict personal growth?

  10. Hopefully not. Its perfectly legal to grow your own tobacco, just people don't. Weed is much different though, and people are used to growing and getting it without the all the chemicals and shit.

  11. I wouldn't buy weed cigarettes from Marlboro or any other company, mainly because I don't smoke joints anyway because they are wasteful. I wouldn't buy it unless it came in the same manner I already buy it. More than likely I would have my own grow in a heartbeat.

  12. Agreed. On a different note, if it were legal and regulated by the government, think of what would happen to your weed. By that, I mean look at what type of shit the government allows into our water and food supplies. I almost have to go on a wild goose chase to find food without tons of chemical additives and GMO's and being a vegetarian makes it harder, but I digress (have you ever read the ingredients on a processed food item? I just read the ingredients on the box of a 'healthy' frozen meal that my friend left here and it read like an essay of a science experiment!)... I would happily pay more money for smoke that I know where it came from. I'm for legalization all the way, I just don't trust government and corporate america with anything, especially the precious herb!!

  13. It would be a bit cheaper so they could crush the street dealers.

I'm also in favor of legalization over decriminalization. Decrim does not really solve anything besides making it easier on us, and while thats all fine and dandy it is still somewhat illegal, its still on the streets causing gang violence, and that means all the current arguments will still stand.

But thats not what this threads about so I'll stop there.

  14. i think it would make it cheaper. and better as well, since it cuts out the drug dealers. i hate drug dealers.

  15. Dear Tokers, I agree with all of you when you say youre going to grow your own or would smoke bongs because you don't like joints, Its all a valid point but only for our own generation. It is likely that future generations will shift towards more widely avalible commercial ciggaretes, and soon the awesomeness of home grown weed or the magic of bongs will be forgotten except for the few chosen hardcore gourmands

  16. Fuck man, now that i thought about it i see what would happen if full legalization would take place.

At first stoners like us would be all happy to grow their own weed and leave large corporations out of business. But its government were talking about and these folks dont give up. Smoking joints would be considered extremely cool again just like ciggarettes were cool. Joints would be everywhere, like in movies and media and news and everywhere, so its cool to smoke them. And then commercial corporations will cash in on younger generations wanting a convenient and relatively cheep smoke. And then these corporations add addictive chemicals and carcinogens and shit and get them all hooked. And this develops into a vicious circle when weed is more and more addictive to the point where studies will show that it is horrible, just like ciggarettes right now. Wow man its like history repeats itself.

Anywhay, i am high, so enjoy the wall of text

  17. Deff cheaper and alot of better stuff.

I'm in favor for decrim and legalization both would benefit the stoner community.
so I don't get how ppl can choose between the two. why don't you actually support your fellow stoner's instead of complain how Decrim won't help seriously do some fucking research. a lil step is a big step for us, so don't expect everything happening at one time.

  18. If it was ever legalised (wont be too soon tbh thanks to shitty government) you definately wont be able to grow your own, it will be like tobacco and the like, too much money could be made in taxes to let us grow our own shit! lets be real lol. Plus the fight for NO legalistlation is backed by tobacco and alcohol companies, and people buy more alcohol and tabacco. IF weed was legal people would go and drink a hell of a lot less and smoke tobacco a lot less! (than they do now) and the amount they would make out of taxing weed wouldnt be as much as what they would loose from the latter. Hope this makes sense to all you faded ones ;) lol

  19. If it was legal u can grow your own.people can grow there own tobacco and brew there own beers, weed would be no different. So all of you guys should calm your asses down about chemical weed, your probably already smoking chemical weed. And there always going to be the organic side of weed growing ,you know ,it be labeled "all natural" .
