If it were possible to time travel is meeting myself going to break the time space countium? Or can I meet family members from the past like my accesnters I've never meet before cannabis become illegal? I'm bringing future herb! It'll blow their minds. Also I wanna save Kurt Cobain from suicide. So we still have him alive today.
There's a few theories on time travel but a prevalent one is that when travelling to the past you create an alternate timeline. What that means is that your timeline and the past you are now in are seperate so even if you shot your self in the head in the past it would have no effect on you now. Another theory of quantum mechanics is that your thought will influence a reaction in the future, so if you plan to meet your past self at a certain time it would happen instantly or not at all as events take place in the future and then subsequently effect the past. Currently we can't travel faster than light speed so it's a moot point anyway (as we'd have to move faster than light to time travel) Fun fact, it takes 8 minutes and 20 seconds for light from the Sun to reach the Earth, so if the sun were to randomly die it would take 8 minutes and 20 seconds before we met our frosty demise. If the sun exploded the radiation would incinerate us before we ever saw it coming because the sun is 1.3million times the size of our planet. Hell, a good solar flare would melt us extra crispy. I love time theory, it's a fascinating subject. "Hey baby, I hear the blues a-callin' Tossed salad and scrambled eggs.."
If the timeline theory is incorrect then the ripple effect would have significant validity. Now I don't think stepping on a cockroach in the 30s would cause Hitler to be president of the US in 1980 but changes to the timeline would cause unforseen effects. I like to believe that Captain Rip Hunter's statement from Legends of Tomorrow holds some weight, that history wants to happen. Meaning that even if you killed Himmler pre WW2 Nazi Germany would still invade Poland and crush Europe until the US got involved because plans evolve and adapt. Maybe the difference would be that Hitler's cabinet would convince him to remain allies with the USSR and they would have won the war against Europe. "Hey baby, I hear the blues a-callin' Tossed salad and scrambled eggs.."
Hmmm... will going back in time and editing the original constitution to allow cannabis growing as a right affect us in any negative way?
Probably. Just imagine how many events happened as a reaction to that law. How many songs would cease to exist? How many inspired young folk would vanish due to those songs disappearing? It's impossible to predict with something like that but the bigger the change the nore dramatic the effect. "Hey baby, I hear the blues a-callin' Tossed salad and scrambled eggs.."
Whoa nevermind the buds would actually be worse because no one will be doing the research to make them seedless. Or making the buds more potent because since we have regular cannabis no one would care about making potent seedless bud. Also dabs wouldn't exist because no one would want anything that powerful because dabs were invented just to be able to sneak it easier as well as be more potent. No one would also care about strain names as well. Indoor grow ops wouldn't exist because no one needs a reason to sneak it away. Cannabis would become a grass like substance you would find off of any Farmers Market. There would no bud trimming just all natrual 3 to 5% at most thc buds. Nevermind let's make William Randolph Hearst it illegalize hemp again. My change would fuck up our products.
That sounds dangerous. Hope your packing some major heat in case one of those things tries to attack you. However bring back ancient fruits and vegetables that don't exist anymore. That would be cool. Lets take a trip to the Ice Age too and see if we can see some Willie mammoths.
I brought up how stepping on a roach wouldn't cause a ripple that changes the future but in that historical point it definitely would. Pre-History to Post Ice Age is likely the most sensitive time period in existence. One small misstep and humans could cease to exist, we could all be giant lizards with 10 heads. I get so excited when I think about this stuff, I love theoretical Science. "Hey baby, I hear the blues a-callin' Tossed salad and scrambled eggs.."
Who says everything we do has to have negative affects? What if something we did made our evolution faster or smarter or both or made us immune to cancer? What if we introduced vaccines to cavemen making it so we evolve with very illness resistant genetics? What if I planed today's advanced high THC strain genetics in our ancient gardens creating super cannabis strains of today that would have over 300% THC from the flower alone? Can we super start evolution? Lol
Lol I am wondering if a time machine was real would it be able to go into the future. Like in the book! ~Toni~
Lol I probably would not shoot a dinosaur unless I really had too.they are so cool but I would just watch them and hide. Maybe I would see a spinosaurus (one of my favorites) ~Toni~
No the universe has safety measures your past self wouldn't talk to you even if you tried. Most likely you wouldn't even find your family members
What about family members I've never met that passed away before I was born? Like great grandparents and what not?
There's no theory to support what aaron said. Also stating fact on a completely theoretical topic is ridiculous. "Hey baby, I hear the blues a-callin' Tossed salad and scrambled eggs.."
Will I know all about funding my future self but that's not a good idea. You probably find future me in a therapist office breaking down. Or hell maybe we run into em in his shitty studio apartment he pays west coast prices for($1000 a month). Future me doesn't seem to be doing too well because he spent most his time is teenage years getting high and spent his early adulthood worrying about his career and not knowing where to go in life. He ends up being a manager or something for some small pizza place and bud trimmer on the weekends. The liberal arts degree didn't exactly get him a job. It got him an okay management job just like his dad got with his criminal justice degree. Now he's not poor or starving future means doing well for himself. However he still has depression demons that's for sure. This is future me and depression isn't cured yet. However his life is simple and it works he may have not been able to achieve any childhood dreams but he works he pays taxes he smokes around 10 grams a day I'm sure. Later on he saves up enough money to buy a small patch of land after years of moving around small jobs and management or cannabis dispensaries part time. Then one day assuming around in his 70s and 80s on average his heart will stop. I will then be dead. The end.
