If I calibrated my scales with nickels is it accurate?

  1. I don't mean perfect, but will give me a good idea of how much bud is in front of me? (Ex. I really get 2.8 but it weighs out at 2.6)

I just ordered a weight off Ebay, but it won't come for some time.

  2. a nickel weighs 4.9 - 5 lol but if ur scale will read that its accurate

  3. I usually see people use a brand new nickel when they calibrate. I've been told the weight of a nickel is good to weight out

  4. I have done this for years. 5 is what I usually go for. Depends on how old the nickel is.

  5. yeah i always check my dealers scales by throwing a nick on there.

  6. It won't be 100% right but it will be about right. The best way is obviously with a calibration weight but if you don't have you that should suffice.
