If CA residents don't want it legal, keep supporting prohabition!

  1. It is as simple as that. The reason the growers in CA don't want it legal is they won't make as much money, cry me a river. If they have such a problem with it being legal, I expect to see them on the anti-cannabis propaganda side. I have no respect for cannabis smokers/growers who don't want it legal due to possable loss of money. They are a meaningless voice in restoring the name of this wonderful plant. You either want it legal or not, if you grow and want it to remain illegal, get the fuck out of the game.

It's actually sad that something like this actually has to be voted on, at least in our country.

In a Constitutional Republic that was founded on the ideas of liberty and individual rights, a majority cannot take a natural right away from a minority by voting. Based on the principles our country was founded on, the government has no right to ban any substance that effects only the users body and mind.

Even the Eighteenth Amendment to the Constitution, banning alcohol, was illegitimate. Even though unlike with drug prohibition, Congress did follow the necessary legal steps of adding a Constitutional amendment to enact a power they did not previously have, the law was illegitimate and unConstitutional from the beginning because it violated individual's natural rights.

Not only does Congress not have the broad powers that they today believe they possess, but even when they follow the necessary procedure of amending the Constitution, any amendment that violates natural rights is illegitimate even if it is passed.

So...yeah. Sorry, just felt like giving a lesson in political philosophy.

  3. I agree with you both.

  4. I've been reading responses to this for a while, and I'm amazed how many growers are against it, personally, I think it would have a wonderful impact on Cali, less people in prison, fewer lives ruined, fewer jobs lost, more jobs created, where's the negative if you actually care about this issue?

  5. That's the problem their isnt a negative, they're just trying to create a problem.

  6. This.

I also agree with the op. There's plenty of people here you would flip their shit here in CO. I can see their side, to a degree, because lost income won't feed kids. But this is a lot bigger than having to get a day job.

  7. Ha ha dude, I agree with everyone here that it's retarded to keep it illegal and nobody should have a problem with it. But everything you just listed is exactly why some people want it illegal. It's all about $$$$. :(

  8. money money money...the root of all evil.

  9. they would make less money per pound but it would be easier to grow larger amounts because you wouldnt have to hide it from the government.... and the market would be larger... i dont understand why they are freaking out.

im crossing my fingers for it to pass but i doubt it will.... the first time its on the ballot. muhhahahaha:p

  10. The fact that the growers are in favor of keeping it illegal actually works to push FOR its legalization. It becomes a well known fact somewhere along the line that people growing it don't want it legal, eventually people get that yea, it's supplying an underground black market, that's obvious!, and maybe something will be done....
