If a cop smells weed can he legally search the car without consent

    I live in iowa and hotboxing is my favorite way to smoke but recently ive been thinking about worst case scenarios so if a cop smells weed and asks if he can search and i say no can he still legally search it? And the evidence hold up in court? This is in iowa...

    Check your local marijuana laws at NORML.com. Im gunna say that yes more than likely he can search your car because of smell. It's Probable Cause for search without warrant in most states.
