Just started first grow, 5 g13 and 5 Hindu kush, about 7 days in and all have sprouted and looking good, mind u sum are taller than others but ghats just the growing process, My question is are my temps too high? Day time goes anywhere between 78 to 82.5 where at night its at 70-73, Is this okay?
I'm havin a bitchin time tryin to stay within those temps, sometimes I go as high as 83.5 but from wut I read as long as u don't reach over 85 in day and 70 night ur good, Anyways Ive had the girls in pots for 7 days, they are about 2" in height been feeding plain water, When should I lower the lights and when should I start the nutes?
I'd give em another week or two, or until they have some good roots down and are starting to show new growth up top before adding nutes or going to stronger lighting. yea, it's a bitch sometimes with the temps, but you're doing pretty good keeping things at the right temp. Just keep upgrading your grow as you go and add more precise controls...HVAC/R suppliers have some very precise temp controls available, but they are not cheap! I really want a Honeywell digital/programmable temp control (for commercial refrigeration), as they are capable of +/- 1 degree with a 1 degree range, but they are about 2 bills and I haven't upgraded that high yet! They do make a control that is pretty good and just plugs into a regular outlet and then you plug your heater into that and it turns the heater on/off within a couple degrees of actual set point for around $50. Honeywell, White-Rogers, or RANCO all make them.
Thanx again, As far as equipment I've got pretty much all, 4x4x6 tent 400 watt lighting inline fan carbon filter combo and of course osc fan, I'm not running my inline fan yet as I don't feel I should until at least flowering, just a waste of power although it does bring temps down a bit, I run lights and osc fan during the day alone for now along with the tent open a bit and at night nothin except a heater if it's reall cold outside, like I said temps and circulation seem to be fine, Wut do u think I'll post pics of set up and girls shortly
