I know this info is posted somewhere but I can't seem to find it. What is the ideal temp range? What is the best distance for a 250w MH for plants that are 2-3 weeks old? I just installed my new MH and in under a half an hour the temp went from 75 F up to 87 F. I've got the bulb about 12" from the tops of the plants. Thanks for any help.
72-80 is best, never lower than 60 and never above 85 or 90... u should get a fan to blow air in between the light and the tops of the plants, also are u measuring temps at the tops of ur plants?
I've already got a fan blowing across the plants and an exhaust fan in the ceiling. I'm measuring the temp at the base of the plants which, at this stage, is almost the tops of the plants as well. The thermometer is in direct light resting on the edge of the pot. Thanks
do u have an intake fan? if so try to position that to blow towards the fan thats blowing on the light, atleast thats how i fixed my heat problems (about the same as u)
