  1. Would a 12" pot be large enough to grow a plant indoors?

only vegging to 12" so the plant shouldnt get to big just want to make sure i dont have to transplant

the idea of doing that bothers/scares me lol...

  2. The rule of thumb is a gallon volume of soil per foot of height :)

    And transplanting is easy!

  3. so somthing along the lines of a 3 gallon pot per plant?

yeah i know its just going to be my first grow and im worried that ill mess up the transplant and cause the plants to much stress

just dont want to risk it because im buying seeds

  4. like he said, 1gal pot for every ft in plant height. eg: 3ft plant = 3gal pot. i use 10" or 3gal pot for my final size, no smaller, but next grow ill be going up to 12" or 4-5gal, b/c i veg for a long time. u cant go wrong w/ 3gal pots. a couple grows back i had a 4.5ft in a 10" 3gal & it was barley pot bound by harvest. just remember a plant will double or triple in size once u start 12/12

  5. thanks for the info :hello:

i think im going to go with 4 gallon pots just to be careful

it will at least double i know that but then again im only using 2 100w Cfl

unless i can find the 200w bulbs then ill be much better off

    btw

2 silver haze plants basement cabnet grow will be operational by september

    cant wait :smoking:

  6. Conversely, if you want to keep your plants small you can limit the pot size :)
