So i'm not a student here but I moved to this big college town and I need to get a job. I'm from a small town where there is like no where to work and most ppl get hired due to family connections so anyone from big towns suggest any good places to look for a job? I'd really like one where I meet people either my co-workers or people that come in or something because right now I have very few friends in this town and it sucks. even been thinking about volunteering too just to get out more and meet people. i feel like I have too much energy and no outlet really.
Get a restaurant job. You'll meet the underbelly of society pretty quickly. They are a hub for the black market.
Apply to the college, they usually have entry level positions depending on your skill set. Maybe a help desk position or service desk.
Try to get a job as a bartender or bar help. It doesn't matter if you don't have much experience, it could still happen. I was a bartender for three months and I knew nothing of it before I started. You'll pick it up as you go, make tons of money in tips, and meet tons of beautiful girls.
Barbacks, waiter, backwaiter, dishwasher... Pretty much restaurant. Go for a more upscale restaurant if you can. From the chefs to the busboys, everyone in a restaurant loves to get fucked up. Sent from my MexiPhone5000
