So I have an air cooled (the standard square about 18w x 20l ) hood. I am slowly switching to straight SOG, and the first clones are about to go under. How far from the tops do I need to be to get a 4x4 spread? I can go up to about 5.5 ft, no higher really. But I want to make sure I am not too low so I hit the edge plants. I run my 1k's between 10" -16" from the tops. The closer you can keep them the better lumens. You're better off rotating the plants than running the light higher imo. Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
Start higher with fresh clones and lower accordingly with time. All hoods disperse light differently so there isnt one answer. You'll be able to see. Once they're acclimated, go as low as u can while maintaining your temp
