I hear that hanging your plants upside down in a dark place is the best way to dry, but i live with my parents so i can't bring the plants inside...anyways, i was wondering if i could hang the plants upside down in boxes out in the woods to dry?
It is worth a shot, I don't see why it wouldn't work..you may have to check on it as if it is drying to slowly, you can add a small hole to increase air flow. You basically want it to take a week to dry and can't rush it...any faster and your bud will taste like shitty-cut-grass home grown. Starting on day 3 bend a branch..if it snaps, it is dry..do that once a day to find out when it is done and good luck. I would also start out with the boxes in the shade and maybe get a cheapo thermometer to hang in the box. I would try and keep the temps in the low-mid 70's cause if it get too hot, the bud will dry too quickly and taste like crap. Good Luck!
actually yeh, i have a similar problem with roomies and was wondering about what i was going to do come harvest time. i might do such a thing with burlap bags tied up in trees . . . but maybe by harvest time i might be able to do something about the smell . . . it's gonna have to come inside one way or another . .. curing, smoking, etc. . . anyways, thanks for asking and answering you guys
Well I don't see why you can't dry the plants inside. your not growing them. So you could hangthem upside down in a dark place where noone will smell them (i.e. your parents) Maybe put a small plastic bag over one, with small poked holes in it for some air circulation. Then hang them upside down in like a dark place where smell doesn't leak through. Good luck!
best way i have found the dry my uncured bud quickly is to put it in a tubberware container and place it on top of my monitor all night and leave my screen on (black screen to it dont bother my sleep) the heat from the monitor is soaked though the bottom of the tubberware and by morning, my buds are DRIIIZZZEYE fa shizzle... ...nizzle. ..fizzle. .weedtizzle... ..i like soda fizz...zle ...im high.. ...zle

man wouldn't it be quite a find. Just be like walking through the woods and BAM! you see some nugs hanging from a tree--noone in site.... mmm...I wonder what I'd do lol!
