Anybody that has done a lot of experimenting ever make ice/dry ice/bubble hash before doing an extraction? My thinking is that if you separate trichs from all of the plant matter beforehand, then you can get the most bang for your buck (considering an efficient method for the initial hash making) by not worrying about picking up extra plant material when soaking in iso. I say iso because I feel like an iso extraction would be easier than a bho blast with such a small amount of hash vs all of the starting material i.e. not being able to pack an extractor tube efficiently. Basically what I wanna know is an O of nug vs the amount of hash you can get from an O of nug - What is the better end result? Loss of yield? Loss of flavor? Loss of potency?
kief can also have contaminants to mess with flavor so obviously the kief has to be proper. A single pass through extraction using butane would be useless, you need to use the mason jar/thermos tech and soak the kief rather than pass the solvent right over it. what do you mean?

depends on how good the kief is extracted. I personally think just straight flowers will be your best bet. potency wont really be affected unless you dewax/winterize
