I was warned and learned my lesson

  1. About bringing clones from elsewhere into my grow tent. Payed the price this past summer. 4 plants (minimum 8 oz) got infected by fungus gnats and spider mites and I didn't put 2+2 together until recently. I brought in a wedding cake clone in from the dispensary. Wanted variety and genetics the easy way I guess. I looked it over real good and it seemed ok. Boy was I wrong. What happened was slowly over the next few months none of my other plants flowered right and the pest became so uncontrollable I killed the grow. Now 6 months later Im buying dispensary weed and popping seeds left and right:smoking-bong: . Check out the damage I was left with. I'm embarrassed to show it really. Looks 10× better than it taste and it looks like shit imo.

Autos on the left photo on the right. This weed contains almost no thc, all because of that fucking clone. Lesson learned the hard way:passing-joint:

  3. dont beat yourself. Clones can be problematic but seed starts get infestations also. Always quarantine your clones and give them a good bath of neem oil once a week for 2-3 weeks. Fungus gnats are not a destructive pest so no biggie but they are bothersome buggers. They are very easy to get rid of.

  4. Ad Vostok said...neem oil...liquid k soap and warm water...
My plants were reborn after 1 heavy shower:)

  5. It happens and not just by bringing new plants in from outside sources - as suggested, keep COLD PRESSED ORGANIC NEEM OIL in your garden toolbox and do some reading on proper emulsifying techniques.

Be proactive - spray your plants once a week to make them less appealing to pests. Have a plan in place so that you aren’t scrambling because no matter how good the grower - PESTS HAPPEN.

    good luck.

  6. I've had mixed results with neem oil and would never use it in flower anyway. Some plants are okay with it while others burn or suffocate if you don't rinse immediately. Going the organic or homemade route next time.

  8. Most definitely. Never bringing in an outside clone again.

  9. it pays to read the label a tsp of dish soap and a tsp of neem to a pint spritz bottle

will keep you sharp, as any 'taste' or smell will vape out after 24-28 hours

    but only if applied correctly
