  3. How do you decarb for making butter?

  4. By no means am I saying I am the best,  however when I was cooking Canna Labs was Always blown away by my test results combining my 10+ Years experience as a gourmet chef with my love of cannabis, this is what I found worked best for me and had the best test results.
The reason most edibles don't work very well if at all is due to lack of decarboxylation,  this process happens naturally in a plant to an extent when it is drying and curing the acidic forms THC-A, CBD-A and CBN-A ect. convert into their "active forms"  THC, CBD, CBN. However to maximized the effect of an edible us humans have to give this process a little boost. I ALWAYS use a Solvent Extract like BHO or Super critical co2 when I cook the product difference is night and day you will never want to eat trim cooked in dairy butter again after using a solvent extract.  I use a pressure cooker made for commercial kitchen and a thermometer on a wire to check the internal temp.  I bring the extract up to ~30 psi and 360 F. for 3 mins. After you let it cool and depressurize you have a decarboxylated hash. Mine was commonly test by cannalabs as 85% decarboxylated THC per Gram of extract.  So 1 Gram of Decarbed Extract is ~850 MG of active THC ready to be dosed or cooked.

Now to answer your question if you read my decarb method above you can mix this extract into any high fat (Butter, Oils, Avacado, Peanut Butter, Chocolate ect...) or Alcohol by lightly heating  base and adding the extract and stirring until blended.  At this point you can use that base in any recipe in any book.

Read the above statement for how I decarb.

I realize now I might have gone over board with what you where asking if you are trying to keep it "Cooking with Weed for Dummies" style grind up that bud super fine cook it in the oil at about ~125 F for about 3 hours this will extract a lot of the cannabinods as well as do a "light" decarb.  Take the oil and follow this stupid simple recipe for Buckeyes.
    1.5 Cups Creamy Peanut butter
    .5 Cup Oil(Preferably butter)
    1# Powdered Sugar
    1 tsp Vanilla Extract
    1.5 Cups DARK Chocolate chips.

Melt the Choc chips in the microwave in 30 second increments until smooth. Mix everything thing else together in a mixer until smooth form the Peanut butter mixture into balls, dip in molten chocolate, cool, eat, get stoned.

    Hope this helps happy eating

Can I naturally process AVB into coconut oil by just leaving it in a closed jar and stir it twice daily (maybe leave it for 2 weeks)?

Does AVB need to be decarbed? (I assume my vape already converted the acidic compounds)

If not would a convection oven or stovetop work best? and what temp for AVB+coconut oil?

If I was you I would heat up just enough oil to cover the bud and let it sit at temp that's about 125 for several hours you might be able to take this and mix it back in with the untouched coconut oil to re-emulsify. Hope that helps but to be honest I just don't know anything about AVB or if there is even anything worth getting from it.Sent from my iPad using Grasscity Forum

Well I've eaten the AVB straight (took about 2 tablespoons) and I got a really nice high, I just put it in some rich chocolate pudding, I got a slight stomache though.

Do you think 230 in the oven for a few hours would work?

Anything above 125 and you will start cooking off cannabinods and unless your doing it in a pressure cooker this is a bad idea. Sent from my iPad using Grasscity Forum

  10. 125F? I assume even if I put the oven on like say 150 F the inside of the oil won't reach near that level, even with a convectional oven

  11. Yes F. It will if you leave it in there long enough, just monitor the temp and even if it does get hot it's not the end of the world it will just be slightly less strong. Sent from my iPad using Grasscity Forum

  12. How do you make a single serving of brownies.

  13. Are you sure 125F is the ticket? Most of the guides im looking at say much hotter (220f)

My suggestion would be to try both and see what works best for you. Since it's AVB you'll never really be "wasting" it.Sent from my iPad using Grasscity Forum

  16. Just a quick question, how much herb do you think i could infuse into 1 tbsp of coconut oil?

Just curious why don't you just decarb your material before you blast. Seems like a lot of work?

If you don't make your on BHO how do you know if the mystery oil is purged and your not eating nasties

If you are making your own are you using n-butane?
When you put your bho inside the pressure cooker what kind of container do you put it in.

Is there water inside the presure cooker?

how do you keep the water out of BHO?

Next time you do this could you add a pictorial/tutorial?

Please do not misunderstand, I am in no way being disrespectful, I am consistently looking for better way to do things, inquiring minds want to know.
