every rapper with lil and young in front of their name they ruined rap everybody is afraid to be different nowadays its all the same coke, clothes, cars and hoes who else misses 90s rap? those were the golden years i was jk i dont wanna slap anybody and no i didnt really mean every raper wit the lil and young before their name i was just talking about the dudes that are on the radio 24 7
I personally can't stand lil wayne, I hate his whole flow and delivery. But I am biased, only southern rapper I have really liked so far is Young Jeezy. Oh, one good rapper (atleast I like him) from philly, with lil' in his name, is lil frank. <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/m4dCu2mcWYI"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/m4dCu2mcWYI" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object> But Yeah, I am biased, I really only like the northern east coast flow.
But oh yeah OP : I definantly miss the 90's. Onyx, First 2 Mobb Deep albums, Big L, Biggie, etc, etc. Tons of great Stuff. You heard of Big L? Here is a 98 Freestyle by Big L <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/ToTRFS-6eUs"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/ToTRFS-6eUs" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object> And Onyx - Last Dayz (This shit is a fuckin ghetto classic) <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/W6oF04D7z6c"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/W6oF04D7z6c" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object> I personally don't listen to anything on the radio's these days. All the new commercial rap / hip hop stuff is trash, record labels are signing garbage. Everything I listen to is either years old, underground mixtape circulated, or unpopular. Lake and Cormega was an amazing CD this year, new AZ was aight. Everything else I listen to is pretty much just local artists, or other unsigned people I know and find on youtube.
yo wunschshrek, hell yea bro 'lifestylez ov da poor and dangerous' is one of my fav albums ever Big L was a beast RIP BIG - ready to die Nas - illmatic Wu Tang Clan - enter the 36 chambers Mobb deep - the imfamous Jay-Z -reasonable doubt Raekwon - only built 4 cuban linx Scarface - the diary Dr. Dre - the chronic (92 version) Geto Boys - we cant be stopped Outkast - Atliens, Aquemini Goodie Mobb - soul food Devin the Dude- just tryin ta live yo these are some albums everybody should check out, i know you guys prolly know most of these but if you dont give them a listen thats
yeah that CD will be a fuckin classic for a long time. You like that lil' frank joint ? I pretty much like all of top klass, Eddie morris, Reed Dollaz, lil frank my fav 3 out of them, they all out of SWP (south west philly)
Yea it seems like all the good hip hop is gone. But now with KRS-One dropping lyrical hip hop might be coming back
immortal technique is one of the very few rappers i listen to. i don't always agree with him but he speaks his mind. plus his word play is on the level of Shakespeare. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tD5WlQ54Sg0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZVQUrEPcais&NR=1
this is the greatest hip hop song ever. listen to the entire thing, it will blow your mind. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M72zVuBNpEA&mode=related&search=
yeah those are some good album reco's. Heres another joint from back in the 90's. Lost Boyz <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/_pvKRUEAu30"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/_pvKRUEAu30" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object> They got a bunch of hot songs, 1, 2, 3 thousand Problems, Renee, etc.
Yeah thats a good song, fuckin crazy twist in it at the end.. Immortal doesn't have a great flow, but he makes it up soo much with his story telling ability and lyrics. Last Rapper I seen tell a story this good was Slick Rick. Ill post the controversial one, cause personally, I hate bush. There are tons of people here in NYC who believe there is atleast a *little* truth in the 9/11 scandal. Cause it all comes down to one thing, Building 7.... <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/WA_xXWSXyFI"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/WA_xXWSXyFI" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
hell yea the good old days man...NWA, Dre, 2pac, Eazy E,even a lil snoop all that classic westcoast shit man the best shit the pioneer shit... thats why i bump the old shit and all chi town underground shit...hell they broke but they stay true to their city and rep chicago to the fullest...so many lames on the radio, out east, down south
im not a rap afficianado or anything like that but imo the best rapper alive is Tech N9ne my 3 favorite songsvvvvvvvvvvvv <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Od4vOAT5G6U"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Od4vOAT5G6U" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object> <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/qw8UjMNy7h8"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/qw8UjMNy7h8" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object> <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/5eb1mEcbFlE"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/5eb1mEcbFlE" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
Not bad at all, I just listened to the first one. Real unique flow and delivery, I never heard any rappers from KC yet.
