  1. I hot knifed oil until I got too stoned to dab it. Tool's videos now make perfect sense. I am high. Fuck I'm going to type out the meaning of Vicarious

  2. Please do, we're all looking forward to your interpretation of a song.

  3. Alright the tentacle shit at the start is metaphoric for the global information network that connects us. These also look like roots, which in the human psyche flows television instead of a plant's water. Through these channels, which are surrounded in nerves, the eyes flow, which represents the stimulation of the mind by the entertainment. The two eyes coming out of the head symbolize one's true vision, which emerges from the head to attempt to determine the nature of the world. The burning black sun represents television's monolithic looming presence of a black void without any true substance, but the surrounding fire represents the cheap thrills which attempt to mask the void.

The ground outside is bone dry, a result of the black sun leeching all water, all substance, out of the ground, which can be seen as representing the majority population. The large eye with three tentacles symbolizes the false vision granted by the television, the destruction of the substance of culture and in our lives. The panes of glass colliding represent the appearance of beauty (I'm so wrecked I needed to get my brother to spell that for me) shown through the perfect transition into one. The bright flashes of light emitted by the collision shows the stupefying, dazzling effect television can have, which has the power to blind even the true vision.

The red insect is metaphoric for television giving a perception of true reality, a perception which is false, shown by the opening of the third eye on the hand, where it should be on the head. This false reality is seen by many as a gift. With this false second sight, the collision of panes of glass appears, not as a perfect transition, but as one that creates jagged shards, imperfect. The man sees something wrong, and starts using his true vision. Part of his true vision turns and starts probing the sun, questioning the television's essence, while the other part looks inward in an attempt to find true wisdom.

I'll get back to this later
