allrite, my plant just sprouted like 4 days ago, and it was fine until last night when I moved it to the center of the pot. now the stem is red, and the 2 leaves are dark green, and its slumped over to the side. Is their anything I can do to save it? and does anyone know how long it takes to bud? my healthy one is a foot tall, and been growing for 2 and a half months.
Did you read any at all before growing? What type of soil, lights, nutes, light scheduale? How old? How far away is your light? Water scheduale? Slumped, probably is stretching for light. Move your light closer. Your other 2 ft one is in Vegging mode, growing until you swtich to 12/12. Once you switch light cycle to 12/12, it will start to flower and show sex. Males are useless, you want females. Read up!
for the bad one, i donno what you mean by "slump," but if the stem is a little broken, it fell victem to dampening off. if it's just super bent, then i don't know, but if it's having these problems at 4 days old i wouldn't place too much chancing on it's life. sorry for the other one, the length of flowering depends on the strain you have. but ignoring that, and just assuming that you use an artificial light system, i'd say anywhere from 7-11 weeks, most likely in the mid-range of that. hope that helps a bit. peace
not sure what kind of soil 100 watt sun glo lightbulb (for both plants) thats 6 inches away from it, and i water it everytime its dried up. Im worried when I moved it to the center I fucked up the roots. kind of weed? fire. nothin special.
though i undoubtebly agree that females are 1000000 times better, if you have any way of keeping the males away from any females they still make some ok smoke. people have forgotten some of the old tricks used to better cure the less useful plant parts, such as leaves. plus, as an avid plant grower, i feel it's a bit rude to simply kill the males, without even so much as acknowledging them some way. just my lame-ass nice guy opinions. no hard feeling to the poster, just talkin' out of my ass. peace
if the container is too big, that could be the problem. plants don't like containers that are too big for their roots.
That's your problem then, you need to do more research and be sure of what you do and know what products you are and should be using. You don't know what sort of soil, if it has added nutrients or not which means you could be burning those plants. Is the soil mixed with perlite? If not the soil could be retaining too much moisture starving the roots of oxygen. Your lights are possibly too hot. Six inches from those plants is too close for incandesants, and they are notorious for having a poor spectrum. How careful were you when you moved the plant? Did the roots rip at all? What is your setup, is it a room or a closet? What is the ventalation system like and have you given them any nutrients? If so what sort and how often? What is the PH level of your water and drainoff? If your plants are mature i.e. when the nodes alternate, you ahould put them into flower, changing the 18/6 light cycle to 12/12. Once you have done that they will show sex by two weeks and you can chop the males. It could take anything up to 70 days for them to bud once you have them in flower.
