I think Im low on Nitrogen

  1. My plant has yellowing leaves on the bottom and its slowly going towards the middle. Growth has also stunted. I checked the "your shit is sick so look at this" thread and diagnosed it as a N deficiency. The only problem is that I watered it big time the other day (like a gallon) and it's going to take at least a week to dry so I can't deliver nutes to it w/o drowning her. Should I give her some anyway? Or wait til it dries out? Or get those nute spikes?

  2. my titles aren't jazzy enough I suppose.

  3. a gallon of water 2 days ago on a yellowing plant is too much water and this is most likely the cause of the yellowing N deficiency

let it dryout it will recover , unless this overwatering has been going on for some time and you may have root problems

take pics and give more info.....how often do you give it a gallon, it may not even take nutes if the roots have been swimming (nute lock)

    need more info

  4. The plant has been yellowing slightly for a week or so I believe. I only watered it with a gallon once and I did so because I was instructed to water until water came out the bottom and since my bucket (so that salts don't build up) is 5 gallons of pure soil /perlite mix it takes a metric assload of water to do that. I have since decided that it takes too long for them to dry and will water what I feel is the appropriate amount. The plant is about 25 days old so I do believe that it is due some nutes (I ferted it with and EXTREMELY small amount a week or so ago) regardless of why they are yellowing. I know the pH is right by my gut feeling (I have pH adjusted soil which is slightly acidic and I have lime on top to balance it out. The plant has been on 12/12 for a week and its growth isn't amazing. The bastard isn't even showing sex!!! Here are some pix.

  5. as small as it is it hasnt been in that 5 gal very long so you have no need to flush it and no build up..that little plant cant use up enough of that water, so that each time you water you are only making the problem worse, that plant needs to dry out before it gets root rot or nute lock out from all the water
