I think i overwatered! Help!!

  1. I think i over watered her! The night b4 i was going to start her on a 12-12 light cycle. Its been 3 days now and she doesn't look any better. She is in soil. Under 2(26w) cfl so its like 200 regular watts. I had her on pura vida grow 6-4-3. Shes been on that for the last 2 months since we got her as a lil baby clone. I usually feed her every 3 or 4 days but i forgot to feed her one day so i gave her a lil bit that day and a lil bit the next day to compensate but i think that's what it was. I got as much water out of it as i could and made lil holes in the soil to get air in to the roots but still no luck. Is there anything that i can do or is she a goner?

  2. that sucks! the pic on the right looks pretty bad. you definatley need more light! read the thread, camel's cfl guide. you want actual wattage, not the equvilant watt. you only have 52 watts on her. you want at least 100 watts(actual) per plant. what spectrum are they? you want daylight(6500k) to veg, and 2700k(soft white) for flowering. or mix it up a little to get a more broad spectrum. Do you water with nutes every watering? if so, only use nutes every other watering. what's your temp.? hope this helps. gook luck

  3. and the thing about those shitty cfl is it doesnt cause any heat.so once you water the plant, barely any gets evaperated prolly.one watering prollly last a week with low heat, miniumum air flow/exchange..they look like goners :(

  4. is there any stagnant water in your drainage? if so get it out of there.

Hold the pot up and look for leaks from the bottom... make sure all the leaks are gone ... and don't let any stagnant water remain in the tray under the pot.

that second pic does not look good.

  5. I dont know the temp but it always feels nice in there. Ya they get nutes every water and they all been fine. I got out all the stagnant water and done all i can. I just dont want her to die after all this time i've had her. Here is a pic of another plant but a lil older and flowering. She is fine. Oh and i dont know the ph either this is my first grow

  6. often if its root bound and needs to be transplanted into a bigger pot it will droop just as if you over water. check the botom of your planters to see if roots are visable. if they are replant in a bigger pot and they should perk back up in a few days.

  7. I TRANSPLANTED HER NOW. THE SOIL STILL FELT TOTALLY WET EVE AFTER 3 DAYS. I SHOULD HAVE DONE IT TO BEGIN WITH BUT I DIDNT KNOW. HOPEFULLY I SAVED HER AND HOPEFULLY SHE'LL PERK BACK UP. SHE'S STARTING TO GET A LIL COLOR BACK IN HER BUT WE'LL SEE

  8. they should recover. SHOULD. i've been in that spot but it was underwatering. my plants all looked dead but 2 hours after i waterd they were revived.

over watering kills roots. but the plant should come back if not all roots were lost.

  9. when you transplanted did it look like the roots built up at the bottom ? or around the sides of the planter?. my plants almost looked as bad as yours when it was root bound, and now i have to keep the grow box door open because they are so bushy.

  10. when i transplanted it you could clearly tell i over water her cuz the soil was still so wet even after 3 days and the root mass was so moist and compacted with soil its looks like the wet soil suffocated all the roots. but i loosened b4 i transplanted her so she can breath. havent been able to check on her today but i will when the lights kick on in an hour.

  11. so i checked on her this morning when the lights came on and there are signs of life in her!! among all the sad leaves i found lil green baby leaves on the bottom. now it looks like shes starting to get some color in her too a lil bit on a lot of baby leaves.

  12. it does look like you overwatered. cfl's are not as strong in lumens as the hid lights. 2 26watts i dont think are going to quite make the cut. I would have a minimum of 4 per plant. I did a side by side comparison with some "tomato plants" = 3 under a 250 watt halide and 3 under 250 watts of fluoros. the fluorescent ones seemed to stretch for light, and i noticed they had nodes that where far apart. the halide plants had little stem between nodes, which equals fatter "fruits". Im not knocking fluoros, but id flower under a hps, or 2500k fluoros...... tons of them. also it is my belief that since the water sits for longer in fluoro set up, exhaust is a very big concern. put those fluoros within 3 inches of your plant for max lumens
