  1. ... and hopefully get the White house to issue a more concrete statement on how they will or won't pursue medical marijuana dispensaries and marijuana users in states that have authorized some form of legalization by vote.

Matthew Davies was recently indicted relating to charges stemming from running a medical marijuana dispensary in California(You can read a bit more about this case here: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/01/13/matthew-davies-medical-marijuana-obama_n_2468324.html?ir=Politics) As many of you have likely been following, changes in state laws related to marijuana over the years has spurred an ongoing conflict between individuals within those states and the Department of Justice. Ideally, this petition could not only get Davies' case dropped but could get the Obama Department of Justice to issue a more firm statement on how they will or won't police marijuana use in states that have legalized it in some or all forms. At the very least, I'm interested to hear what the administration might have to say about this case.

You can view, read, and hopefully sign the petition here: https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/stop-unjust-prosecution-matthew-r-davies-and-bar-doj-prosecuting-marijuana-users-certain-states/C5KZvwlg
