I really love the way I feel when I'm high

An hour long bong session, continuously hitting it by myself, is hard on my lungs.. and lately I've been coughing a lot. And Bush is on TV and his voice makes me feel comfortable because I know with it comes something humorous. I'm rambling high. Does using a bong help with the cough? I know it makes me cough more when I actually smoke out of one, but does a bong filter anything significant out of the smoke?
