But I couldn't find the answer anywhere... So I recieved 4 clones from a friend, but since he decided to help me out for free they weren't in the best of condition when we got them. After some adjustments I've currently got them in a 10 Gallow DWC with 1/2 tsp of Earth Juice grow per Gallon, and 3 total teaspoons of Microblast. The water pH is about 6 (a little less most likely, hard to read those cheap strips though..) Now, the plants have been in the chamber for a week now and they new growth is looking healthy and green but some of the older leaves are still yellowing and dying. Is this the general tendency of cannabis? I don't think there are likely any deficiencies still, but the leaves that were originally damaged are not recovering.... is this supposed to happen? Should I just let it shed the old stuff and focus it's energy on the new growth, or should I be worried about some remaining problems? Thanks everyone! Sorry if this has already been answered....
When clones are rooting they tend to go naturally yellow. For a DWC they should have a pH of 5.2-5.8 for best results. Hard to tell that exact for sure on those cheap testers I know.
Well, they definitely had some trauma from the transportation (he literally walked in and handed them to me laying sideways in a plastic bag!), but despite them being in what I assume to be perfect conditions the damaged leaves don't seem to be getting better. There's healthy new growth, but the leaves that were damaged (even if only slightly) are continuing to yellow...
Don't worry about the older leaves, it's common for them to yellow and fall off. As long as the new growth is looking good down't worry. Keep your humidity up and they should survive.
Damaged leaves usually do not ever "heal" back to green. Its the new growth you are concerned about. Any pictures? What is the ppm?
