i personally dont think it SHOULD be legalized to the open public.

  1. DAMN. i cant say my opinion is comepletely reverted now, but its definatly changed...i see more pros than cons after rereading this entire thread. [which by the way was a pain.]

"You want to know complicated? Keeping a harmless plant, enjoyed by over half the population, illegal for racist and socialist reasons, now that, has created a TON of complications, headaches, and heartaches over the years, since prohibition first came into effect. "

but im still not sure what you mean by it causing racial complications...
im not sure how to word that what do you mean by the racial thing? "illegal for for racist reasons"

  2. It was a way for the Western States to try and get the Mexicans to leave; that and harass them and those Jazz playing folks that are after our women. Ignorant fucks they were/are. :smoke:

  3. It was only one part or aspect of the cannabis prohibition movement, but back in the 1930's, the people who had the largest roles in promoting prohibition, assumed that cannabis use made, well, just about anyone who wasn't white and god-fearing, somehow 'even worse', than they already assumed those people to be...
And, it somehow gave them the ability to steal their women away. :p

A more popular, or well known example..

"Anslinger has been accused to be responsible for racial themes in articles against marijuana in the 1930s."

"There are 100,000 total marijuana smokers in the US, and most are Negroes, Hispanics, Filipinos and entertainers. Their Satanic music, jazz and swing, result from marijuana usage. This marijuana causes white women to seek sexual relations with Negroes, entertainers and any others." - Harry J. Anslinger - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

    Another...

"Again, racism was part of the charge against marijuana, as newspapers in 1934 editorialized:

“Marihuana influences Negroes to look at white people in the eye, step on white men’s shadows and look at a white woman twice."' - Why is Marijuana Illegal? « Drug WarRant

  4. I'd just like to bring some attention to the people who insulted OP. You are no different than the ignorant people in this world that label us as stoners and look down upon us because they don't understand something. Just because someone has a different idea or opinion as you does not make them an idiot, OP was just uneducated on the ALL the aspects of legalization. Yes there are a million reasons cannabis should be legal but if someone disagrees with you, have a friendly debate, don't go name calling just because someone is different than you. After all, OP wasn't even being an asshole about it, just stating his beliefs just like we all do on this forum.

    Practice what you preach. :smoke:

that you a paranoid dumbshit who is not thinking about the important issues. What about the cost in terms of liberty, lives and spoils by the criminal injustice system because people like you you think little sue and johnny might get their hands on some weed?
It is the duty of parents to teach their children concepts of temperance and moderation with regard to drugs and alcohol. Adults should be allowed to live their lives without some douche like you demanding that they defer to your fears or lack of desire to take responsibility for rearing your children properly.
and oh my, "people would be stealing it like crazy"...doubt it as it would be in every back yard...but if the did we have laws in place for theft. People rob liquor stores nationwide....do you propose making booze illegal again?

that's my 2cents for you dipshit

--There's no reason for the name calling--

  7. ^^ Yet, if you had read the thread you would know she has had a change of heart. You silly name calling is unnecessary and unwanted in GrassCity. Smoke another bowl and re-evaluate. :smoke:

  8. no shit, much better said than my rant, thanks.

  9. Some people in this world are just insecure with themselves and feel the need to talk shit over the internet, because they know they could never do it in real life without their teeth being smashed into the cement...

ANY WHY DOES EVERYONE ASSUME IM A GUY.
i can understand on MW3 but thats because i have a deep voice and i whoop ass but common, my name is HALI. ever met a guy with that name??? i havnt...
i have met a shannon tho...that was a tripp. OH OH and a britney!!! he musta hated his parents:[

and of course Johnny Cash's old buddy sue:p

  10. I admit I posted before reading EVERY post, ever so sorry to have offended you.
so maybe she should have smoked another bowl and evaluated what she was going to post.....oh whats the use. I have been affected at a quite personal level by drug laws, so when I hear or read nonsense from what you seem to think are well meaning posters I do have a tendency to use names that reflect my opinion of their posts.

  11. assume what you like. the last thing I am is insecure, opinionated yes, big time. I don't cringe from voicing my opinions, over the internet or on the street. You assume quite a lot without knowing a thing. It's you who's hiding behind the internet. when was the last time you smashed anyone into the cement? what a bunch of undeserved bravado.

  12. well said, man. prohibition is part of people's conciousness now: when i suggest repealing prohibition laws, people say i'm crazy and that if drugs weren't illegal everybody would be high all the time. when i asked how many of them would do drugs if they were legal, they said they meant "other people". i think the collectivist sense that society is like a stupid dog which is always trying to get into the stash of onions(deadly to dogs if you didn't know) is what's killing us. the other day, i mentioned my belief that taxation is theft, and explained exactly why it is. now get this: the thing people were hung up on was that you are FORCED to pay taxes. no one even disagreed that taking by force is theft. they just said youre not really forced! thats just a matter of retardation, and these were students in an honors class at a "blue ribbon" school. on top of that, they were all saying that it would be barbaric to not be protected by police if you don't pay the police force, when currently you go to jail if you dont. i have no faith in our future... anyone want to try and build a galt's gulch with me?

  13. Well, in that case, sorry for the aggression and welcome to the effort! You definitely gave us a great opportunity for discussion and debate the subject.

  14. Do we have to use shovels or can I use a huge earth mover for the job?

  15. eh, i was gonna say we just use our hands but if you want to be a pussy...

  16. I will never understand why others what to limit someone Else's personal freedoms? You need to think a little harder and that goes for anyone else that agrees with you, it makes no sense at all causes more problems and waste more money keeping it or any drug illegal.

    Legalize ALL Drugs.

    p.s and prostitution

  17. personal liberty is the most important aspect of a free and mature culture.
but there are many who demand to decide for others the boundaries of freedom based on their fear or their greed. it's just that simple, simple minded fearful people manipulated by the greedy.

  18. The OP's opinion is one we see here on GC from time to time. I kinda understand why people get pissed and call names when folks say shit like that. If you have done 20 minutes worth of research into cannabis prohibition, you know it should have ended decades ago. You almost dont expect to see that level of ignorance. To the OP, Hali, you either need to do some reading on the subject, or at least watch some movies. It is scary to think there are stoners out there saying shit like that, and repeating it amongst themselves. Step up your weed knowledge if you can step away from the vidya games.

  19. yes thanks vaporfiend you hit the nail on the head

also OP said that "DAMN. i cant say my opinion is comepletely reverted now, but its definatly changed...i see more pros than cons after rereading this entire thread."

Your opinion should be completely reverted and you should at least explain why it isn't

  20. No one gives a shit if you're fine with your laws where you live now, there are still some of us who get a felony for having ANYTHING on us... You just sound so ignorant saying "I like where we are now"
