Sorry for the misleading..but otherwise..most of you wouldn't bother clicking this link.... Well, After some recent observations of this sub-forum, i'd like to state my mind. I'd like to thank all of those who are a part of this forum and who contribute to the community. I really enjoy seeing your budshots, pickups, and pieces. Yet, I feel there is a issue to be addressed here. Why are we here: We are all here because we have a passion for something: Marijuana, pot, weed, ganja, reefer, chronic, dank, and the wacky tabaccy... We have all migrated here from all parts of the globe under a common interest and passion for our favorite herb. What is our purpose: The purpose of us being here, is to have fun, communicate with one another, have fun, help one another, critique eachother, and pass the time. This forum is dedicated to having fun, meeting people from all walks of life, and serves as a melting pot for all our information and a database to store it all. What is our problem: I'm noticing it and i'm sure others have as well. This forum is becoming less friendly and less helpful as time goes by. MEMBERS: I think we are forgetting why we are here and overlooking the purpose of coming here. I'm sick of seeing threads of people posting their buds and pieces....whether it be hash, shake, iso, chronic, KB, *insert weed names here*, glass pieces, bongs, hookahs, or any homeade piece which shall fall into those catergories which are followed by selfish, rude comments. To those who post and fall in this catergory: Thank you. I enjoy looking at it all. Whether it be good weed, bad weed, good glass, or a plastic Mt. Dew Bong. I believe the creativity, enginuity, and passion for the herb that you have is what it's all about. I understand that not everybody can get good weed or have professionally made pieces. We've all been there probobly. Your passion is there and I give you props. I love the thought that goes into some things and the passion and courage that you have to post some of your stuff even though you know your gonna get asshole comments. Thanks. Another thing: Yes, we all live in different areas of the globe. Naturally, we are all going to be paying different prices. I'm sick of reading threads that have good/bad bud with posted prices and having another member come along and flame him or condemn him for what he paid for it. Naturally, He baught it and he knows the price that he paid. If he paid it, then that means good or bad deal or not....he thought about it...and personally handed the money over..so he is aware of what he paid for it...and if he put out money...then it was worth it to him. I'm so sick of seeing people come along and then post..."Dude...i get shit better than that...for..XXX(much lower)..." WTF...who cares. You dont need to condemn people and shut people down for what they do! They are aware of it on their own and they dont need you rubbing shit in their face! Get a life and get off the board if you want to act like this.... We are all here for out love and passion for marijuana....Please members....Don't let things like this cloud up and overcome this board. It's a great board, but I think its going down hill.... I dont want to see this happen... Please, Lets do something to change this.....
Good post, It's been like this for a while and more than likely it wont change, this is an open forum where people are free to post there opinions and thoughts on any subject they so chose. The best thing to do is just ignore the ignorant comments, some people are just assholes not much you can do about it sept take it in stride. I enjoy looking at all pieces, buds and anything anyone has to post because it's interesting to see how the world of cannabis is through everyone else's eyes. Generally people who post stuff like this are more than likely underage users who think life is a competition and they will learn some day hopefully that it's not

I could have written all that and got the point across in half the words that it took you to write it... haha j/k good topic, I see this all the time and it gets very old. Another pet peeve of mine is sometimes people will post some dank bud shot and the first person to comment on it posts a negative comment (they paid too much or w/e), it seems that everyone jumps on and starts flaming the person. On the other hand, ill see someone post a high mid's bud shot and the first person will say something like "nice pickup + rep" and then the next 5 people are giving the person rep for the bud too. This happens all too often, quit hating and quit throwing rep around.
Seriously... Why should you get rep just because you know somebody that can get you good weed? Who gives a fuck who you know.... It's nice to have contacts and get good weed, but the fact that you get good weed doesn't deserver REP! What deserves rep are the people who have been here and have hundreds or thousands of posts, who have helped numerous and countless many. Those who contribute to the society with new ideas, concepts, or setups. Those who add a vital piece to the marijuana community as a whole and have a good attitude while doing so. New or old it don't matter to me. I"ll rep you....but not for getting good weed. If your intentions are good....i'll rep you.... but not for your weed...
I have a question though. I know you say you wont give rep for bud, but would you give rep for a piece someone picked up, because I guess it falls into the same general catagory of it matters how much money you have or who you know.
i dunno i feel the rep system should be 100% free of any rules. People should give rep when they want, its theirs to give or not to give. I dont think thats that big of a problem If they give rep everywhere it doesnt even count to the persons score anyway
Well... I do give reps for pieces...but usually..its for something ingenious or homeade. Something that shows you have the passion or used your brain. I've yet to give rep for many pieces....and if i do/have....it usually matters on who posts it, their attitude torwards others, and the circumstances which encircled the pickup of the piece. i'm more apt to add some rep to someone with a nice story and a truly unique pieces...and most likely wont give rep to those..who just...went to the headshop for a new piece... Like most things in life...i believe that alot of aspects will depend on the circumstances which also encircle such a event. However, the purpose of this thread is not about rep...it about attitudes.........

Yes, but the fact of the matter is, we are a community with a common interest and passion. I DONT WANT TO HAVE TO OVERLOOK 1/2 OF THE POST!!!!....if i have to start overlooking half the stuff here....i'll just start not coming. We should not have to ignore and overlook so many things. Some is understandable..but the amount of overlooking that is being done...has gotten out of hand..and its a issue i feel needed to be addressed... fact of the matter: I don't want to have to overlook other people!
Im gonna have to agree with him. People are all different and come from everywhere just like you said Bass, this means that you are gonna get people you dont like and who post dumb shit.

I'm so f'in stoned right now........ So i totally feel you. People need an attitude adjustment, definitely. But dude, nothing can really be done, forums are forums, and the internet is the internet. People are going to say what they're going to say no matter what you have to say. As much as it sucks, it's true, i really dont mean to come off as an asshole, just realistic. I agree with all you said bassboy except giving rep for buds because if someone has the knowledge of the diff between schwagg and dank it informs people who dont what to look for when buying a bag so its helpful and usually you have a good connect to pick the good buds up so i tend to throw some rep out for some good looking buds-however i base it on the cost as well i kinda gage it on what i would pay for it and if it falls in that range ill throw some rep but if i think they got jacked then no rep, pieces i dont usually rep for cuz any1 can walk into the head shop and get a sick piece and go home and pack it full of schwagg IMPO--+rep on your thread tho it was a good read
