Read Grandpa's Grow Guide. It's a sticky in the beginners section of this forum. It should answer most if not all of your questions. 1. Size of space will be determined by how many plants you want to grow. 2. You can grow from seed. You do not need to start with a clone. 3. If you want to produce buds, which I assume you do, you want to grow females. Only females produce smokable buds. 4. The entire process takes anywhere from 3-5 months. It really depends on how long you veg. Flowering typically takes 7-12 weeks. Like I said though. Read the grow guide. Lots of good info in there.
