I need new LED's with advice.

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by czappme, Aug 31, 2022.

  1. I have an indoor grow with abou*t 500 sq ft. with 10' ceilings and I'm planning on putting around 100 plants( for flower).I've come across some nicely "reduced" price lights and I need some expert opinions. The light specs are,
    *8' led light (16 sq foot coverage)
    * 210 W
    * 242.40 PPFD
    Thoughts??

  2. country, strain, details needed, even light maker is nice

  3. You need 17,500 watts of quality LED lighting for 500 square ft of grow space @ 35 watts per square foot of grow space MINIMUM.

  6. 8 feet is bad enough regardless of the wattage. Think more small. You don't have to buy them all at once. Veg takes very little. Start with enough to veg and see how they do, Then add more if you like them or buy different now that you know better. You'll need 30 to 50 watts per square foot. You don;t need to fill every square foot of space available.

  9. I was going to use that 8' light for flower, is it possible to double up on them?

  10. Are you experienced? (honest question - not bashing you)

  11. 25’x25’ room? All for flower only or you plan on a cloning station, Veg area, and flowering area? How could a 8’ led light only have a 16 sq ft coverage, that would be a 4’ x 4’ light or smaller

  13. Ok. Just checking because my entire home is like 425 sq ft with 7 ft ceilings. lol

    500 sq ft of space with 10 ft ceilings is like an entire planet for me. Headhunter said you would need 17,500 watts of quality LED and I believe it! lol

    Can you post pictures of you area and setup, equipment, etc.

  15. Ok. I'm jealous... just saying that right now haha

  16. you can assemble quality LED lighting for about a buck a watt. from HLG
    No offense but I have twenty of the 2v288 rspec QB's from HLG running total of 3200 watts.
    I always wire my lights where the power supplier is on the outside of the tent so the power supplier doesn't
    heat up the tent .
    You need twenty three of the spider farmer lights 17,453.00 $ worth and that not including adding in wiring and breakers .
    You will have another grand or two on top of the price of the lights.
    I would only wire in 220 power going to the power suppliers .
    Can you order those lights with 220power suppliers ?

    Look at the HLG or look up King Brite LED grow light ,
    No offense but you don't know what you are doing on the lighting .
    Your way,way lost .
