Hey I'm currently living away from home working on a big job site and I'm staying with a guy I work with. He doesn't smoke and I'm not sure if I trust him enough to tell him I love the stuff. You're a grown ass man who can do what he wants without a real explanation dude. Just go outside and take a smoke break. He's not gonna question you like he's your wife or something. I, personally, just wouldn't walk in, bloodshot eyes, with a big grin, like "hey man so uhh... what were we supposed to work on?".
Tell him you're a vampire who must feed every night. That will explain the blood shot eyes and munchie runs.
