I need help yielding

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by mj21556, Feb 13, 2010.

  1. I have noticed that my plants do not have the fan leaves that others display in their grows. My leaves usually fall off or discolor and I cut them off so as not to stress the plants anymore. I am working under a 1000w hps light in a hydroponic setup. I have a few questions how far from my plants should the light be, and how often should I water? I have heard 15 minutes every hour, 4 times a day, and constantly while the light is on. I just need the best technique as I am trying to get the maximum yield. My girls were vegged for maybe 4 weeks(should I veg (8-12weeks instead?) My first grow was under a 400 w hps and I yielded maybe 2-3 ozs in 70 days flowering. I switched to 1000w and I am now using foxfarm nutes to enhance bloom. Please help, how do I stop the yellowing of the leaves, and do I have to veg more to get more. I have a 3x3 growing space. Please Help! (Sour D, Blue Dream, NYC Sd, Purps, seed uknown, black head) thanks

  2. I haven't started my grow yet but from all the research I have been doing your not supposed to water them that much, only once every 2-3 days. And I could be wrong b/c I haven't read anything about hydroponic grows. But as far as I have read you might be watering them to much.

Hope you figure it out man,

  3. The longer you veg, the more you will yield if you have enough space, light, etc.
We need to know what type of hydro setup you are using before we can tell you how much you should be watering.
2-3oz from a 400w hps is very low. I yielded over 3 from a 250w my first time and that was under 50days flowering (had some hermie issues, but i vegged for 4-5weeks).
That being said, you probably should have figured out your problem after your first grow before starting your 2nd.
The yellowing of the leaves could be from a few different problems. To get a valid answer, we will need more information on your feeding schedule. A pic of the bad leaves would be helpful too.
