Yeah shaving. My dad never taught me how, and I just tried to learn on my own. I think I do it right, but I'm never sure because I never ask other people, cause it just seems sad to question about. Where ever I shave, I usually breakout. For example, if I shave my chin facial hair, I get breakout along there. Or same goes for my mustache. I have no clue if I'm doing it right or not, really I don't. So guys, I didnt know where to post this thread so here, whats the PROPER way to shave?
its people like you that cause me not to question in RL. Calm the fuck down, if you don't want to help, its cool. But you don't need to be a dick.
Some people just have weird skin, dont freak about it,everyone has their fair share of problems....just keep doin it and eventually your skin will get used to it..
my dad didnt teach me how to put my pants on, i still manage to do it every morning. i didnt know people needed to be taught this shit?
or try an electric razor if a regular razor makes u break out. my brother can't use a plain razor or her breaks out so he has to use an electric, but i am the opposite and i break out when i use an electric razor oh, and have u used aftershave lotions before? those could help u not get razorburn and break out as well
I mean...he does have a point. It's not hard. at all. it's very simple. just shave your beard, or mustache with a razor until theres no more hair? or at least thats how i do it.
Name calling and profanity will get you banned. Please read the forum rules. The link is in my sig. Thank you.
First determine the type of razor. Straight (expert): Normal (noob): To shave, apply hot water to your face via a rag or if you got out of the shower that's not necessary (YOUR FACE SHOULD BE HOT THOUGH, THIS IS IMPORTANT. YOU NEED YOUR PORES OPEN). Apply shaving cream. Shave with the hair, not against it until you master shaving because you'll cause ingrown hairs. Rinse razor after 2 swipes or so, get the hair out, repeat. Finally, pat yourself on the back for a job well accomplished.
Yeah sure, its easy. But I breakout thus I want some advice sorta. I got the advice I needed. No I don't use after shave, but I probably will from now on. I use disposable razors, so I'm probably going to try the Gilette Fusion or w/e, everyone says those are bomb. W/e, I knew posts like this would come in. And @ the end of it, the mod thinks I'm in the wrong. Coolio.
Yeah that's probably your problem. Also don't reuse disposables more than once or twice (the fusion or mach 3 will last a little longer), they become dull and cause bumps.
anyone here use a straight edge? i went to a barbershop last year got a shave there, definitely the smoothest my skin has ever been. idk how i feel about using a straight edge myself
i noticed this hasn't been mentioned yet: dip your razor in rubbing alcohol after the final rinse then leave it to dry, the rubbing alcohol displaces the water and evaporates quickly tap water always has different kinds of minerals in it, and these build up on the blade, causing it to go dull quickly. Dull razors contribute to razor burn.
