I need help! I need help! I need help!

  1. OK I've posted a few times with no response or advice. I'm a noob grower and I've done plenty of reading over the last 5 years, but I'm still not experienced and nothing beats that. So I could REALLY use some help here. I will post a link to a thread I posted yesterday with some pics of my plants from yesterday so you can see what they look like today (shown below) and what they looked like a day before (though link).

    The link is: http://forum.grasscity.com/sick-plants-problems/649085-3-4-weeks-into-veg-i-need-help.html

The Sativa-dom looks a lot of worse than it did yesterday and the Indica-dom looks better. I used roughly the same amount of fertilizer in each two days ago.

    BELOW IS MY SATIVA-DOM

It now has up curls on the lower leaves and down curls in the higher leaves. fml.

The middle fan leaves have lightly spotted dots on them, and their 2nd and 3rd pair leaves to the right and left are crumpling, for lack of a better word.

    BELOW IS MY INDICA-DOM

The Indica is looking better, but what do you guys think?

THESE ARE THE NUTS I USED - YOU HAVE TO MIX THEM IN WITH THE SOIL (is that bad?)

  2. looks like fert burn if you put time release ferts thats a bad ideal
you can try to flush but that may not help

  3. In the last couple pics it looks fine. Just back off the nutes for a bit give it plain water and when things start yellowing overall, give it some more nutes, but in small amounts. What kind of soil are you using? Do you PH adjust your water? I agree with the above comment, those nutes you add to the soil are not that great, get some General Hydroponics Flora Series, or Botanicare CS-17 Series, something like that. But if that's all you have to work with we'll see what happens from here. Good luck, i'm sure we can help you figure it out.

  4. Thanks I appreciate it. The waiting game is what I was going to do anyway. Standard noob troubleshoot I figure. So what NPK level would I like to use for vegetation. I heard a lot of people raving about Jack's classic for veg and Jack's something bloom for flower. I looked at the NPK for those and it was 20-20-20 w/ a bunch of trace amounts of other stuff and 10-30-20 for flower. I went to lowes and found the closest things. Searched for half an hour with a specialist and ended up with 12-10-10 w/ a lot of other elements and 15-30-15.

What if I mix a tablespoon of the nuts in with the water right after i fill it from the tap, then let it sit for a day or two like I have been? Would that be a viable solution/ would the nuts dissolve in time? Obviously i'd try this after the flushing. I mixed the same with the indica and sativa - and the indica is looking mightier, while the sativa is nut-burned as hell.

  5. BTW the last couple of pics you referenced, are the indica, which is doing gloriously off the nuts, the first few are the sativa - and its sucking.

Should I transplant the sativa? I could take it out with a gardener's shovel and I could dump what's in the pot now, fill in my scotts all purpose potting soil, and put the plant back in the same pot.

Will that be stress free enough?

    Thanks,
    IES

  6. The soil, with all the sticks and crap, is not high quality stuff. That might come into play.

With the Sativa, my guess here is that your media pH is too high. This is locking out nutrients. I also noticed there is no Calcium or Magnesium in that very strong nutrient you have there. These are the deficiencies I'm seeing if anything. Also looks like phospahtes are locked out as well. Could be too many nitrates in the soil.

    Not nutrient burn.

Maybe mold though; the way those leaves are curling isn't good news.

I like the transplanting idea, if anything, just to remove the chance that it is the soil. Be careful and it shouldn't be too tramatic.

  7. do not do that all thats gonna do is give it more nutes just flush it let it dry out and flush again
