So yeah, I need a title for my essay and I'm out of ideas that fit. I was wondering if anyone else would wanna help, it's a personal statement essay for a school and it pretty much explains my whole life story on how my father died of cancer, visiting El Salvador was a life-changing experience. Why I want to be a Biology teacher because of this, and how I hope to make the school proud. It's taken a while to write this essay out and the only thing I'm having a hard time with is titling it... any ideas?
i usually read the text of my essays for inspiration about the title. if quite often ends up being a phrase i use in or near the end.
Lol it's an essay on your personal life, and you can't think of a title to sum everything up? How about Death, Reawakening, and Aspiration
Just read through it. I don't want to give you a suggestion. Let it be your own voice. You've already written something amazing I'm willing to bet. Don't let the idea that there's an obligation for a fancy title stop you. If this school is considerate and fair in any way, I don't see why they'd worry about a title of an essay that a biology student is submitting. If you were an English student then perhaps. Good luck, man.
I believe the literal translation of El Salvador is 'The Savior'. That seems like the perfect fit. EDIT: Also, it's what's under the title that counts.
Both of these are very good suggestions, although I can't help but feel Pete's would be more logical.
