I Need A Hand Diagnosing...

  1. Strain: Advanced Seeds Biodiesel Mass Autoflower

Age: Just under three weeks. (19 days) started showing female preflowers about 3 days ago.

Medium: Soil. Fox Farm Happy Frog/perlite.

Last watered yesterday with 1g tap h2o that I let sit for three days, plus crumbled mosquito dunks to help eliminate a very minimal fungus gnat population.

Watering about once a week, with a full gallon. Every other water I use 2 tablespoon ls of Fox Farm Big Bloom.

    Lighting: CFL's (6500k, 40 actual watts each, 2 per plant) and a 4ft 32w 6500k 2 bulb T8 fluorescent ballast.

This just showed up at lights on, any help would be genuinely appreciated :)

  2. Magnesium deficiency.

  3. Plants go from sprout to hanging fast around here. :)

  4. I appreciate it, snoop.

If I dare ask you to elaborate a little...

How can you tell the difference between magnesium deficiency and nitrogen toxicity so quickly?

Is something like this strain specific? I have two other strains (3 plants total) at the same exact age, this is the only one showing an issue, but I treat them all exactly the same.

  5. The yellowing of the leaf margins tells me to think magnesium.

Nitrogen toxicity would give the leaves more claw, not that they may not develop that too.

  6. they really don't look underfed on n-p-k.

  7. Pretty darn healthy aside from random light green spots, the one leaf with the green along the edge tips, and the tips curling. But it's been 7 days since their last big bloom...so I can't imagine that is the issue.

Appreciate the thoughts for sure, I'm an overprotective grower...first sign of an issue and I go into hyper vigilant mode...

  8. An update...still need some more thoughts and creative thinking...

    Strain: advanced biodiesel mass auto
Soil: FF Happy Frog/Perlite 4:1 ratio
Water: 1 gallon every watering, once MAYBE twice a week. Definitely not overwatered.
Nutes: so far just 2 tbsp big bloom every other watering

The heat feels a little warmer than I'd like but there are two tower oscillating fans creating more than enough circulation.

    Problem 1: The stretch

She is putting a lot of space between nodes, and is growing up into the lights every single day. 2-3 inches per day it seems.

    Problem 2: unknown leaf ailment

This is what we came to think in the grow journal thread was splash damage, but it isn't.

    Problem 3: leaf deformity

    New today...

    Problem 4: leaf flop

Splash damage and overwatering has been ruled out. She's been ore flowering and I think beginning to flower.

Things that have been ruled out:

    Splash damage
    Overwatering

Now I'm just desperate for the answer :-/
