My 2x2 tent is holding two plants and currently using a Viribright 100W Equivalent LED Light Bulbs, Daylight (6500K) 13W A19 bulb. Was looking at the HLG 65 V2 4000k light and the 2022 SPIDER FARMER SF1000D LED Grow Lights with Samsung LM301B 100W, both does not have a dimmer and not sure if I need one. What one would recommend for a 2x2x55 grow tent ? or give me an idea what is better ?. Here's my little setup.
Until you decide on a LED you can buy a 2nd 23 watt CFL and hang them 1 inch away from the seedlings. That will be enough light to get them moving. They look stalled if that is all you have at 3 weeks old. BNW
This is the lights I got, so I could put one over each plant. Then how long till I have to get a grow light ? Also when you said They look stalled is it because the light was to far away ?.
Stalled as in put on hold from lack of light is what hes saying i believe...get a good led light 250-300 watts
I have a 120-150 actual draw LED in my 2x2. It's an off-brand and does not have the Samsung LED's that everyone recommends and I still get exceptional quality/quantity. Basically exactly the same as my 4x4 with a much more expensive light that has the Samsung LED's. Personally I think that almost any decent LED that puts out at least 120w in the right spectrum will do just fine in a 2x2. Spiderfarmer, Mars, Vivosun, many brands to choose from. Mine is a Lenofocus LF100(upgraded) that they don't make anymore. Which sucks because it is a great little light. 120-150w actual draw and you're good to go. Again, just my inexpert opinion.
I've had a TS-1000 (Mars Hydro) for a few years I've put a few thousand hours on and its a rock solid little light, 150W more or less peak draw, good spectrum, quiet, not too hot. Its my seedling / veg tent light now, but I've used it on full sized photo plants all the way to finish as well as recently as this year. For mine, if I screen out 1-2 plants in a 2x2 tent, hang the light at around 18 inches and 100%, gives around 700-900 umol/s which is enough for flower. I'm sure there might be better value / money in lights out there, and while there is nothing truly exceptional about this light imho, it does what its supposed to , which I guess is about as good as you can expect these days. Final note, This light does struggle to penetrate canopies and if you grow plants "natural" with apical dominance, you might want to consider something different, as all this light will get you below the cola is basically popcorn. I mitigate that issue by screening the plants I grow under it, but you may use different techniques in your grows, so just a heads up. Hope this helped
My bad I thought it was a CFL and those can be run at 1 inch away. What you have is LED and you'd need to experiment as I don't have first hand experience with them. BNW
