I have a 1997 Grand Prix gt, 120,000 miles, dinger in hood and bumper wrap, paint chipping on spoiler and rear quarter panels. Not to mention multiple repairs. 2000 Pontiac firebird- very very clean, new inspection, t-top, needs tires replace soon, 100,000 miles. Asking 3,200 for it 2000 Infiniti g20- also very clean, 140,000 miles, leather interior. Need to ask him a few more questions about it. 1998 mustang foxbody- brand new 303 engine, 300 miles, brand new transmission, interior upgrades, new windshield, new wheel bearings, comes with a pair of slicks. Asking 6,000 o.b.o. Will update with pics of the foxbody and firebird on Friday
I don't trust other people with engine swaps, so that would turn me off real quick. Infiniti doesn't have a price, so I can't say. Firebird doesn't have engine size, so I can't say. LS1 or 3800 series II would be worth it for that price. Not a LT1, though.
Sorry they want 1,500 for the Infiniti. With that price I feel like they know something I should too and labor and parts will be hell. And the firebird has a 3.8 v6
I have a 97 with a 3.8 and I love it, pretty damn good motor. Real reliable, only problem I've had is an intake manifold gasket cracked. 25 MPG+ Decent horsepower/ torque for an older v6. I can still kick the rear around corners pretty well, too. Only problem, not enough storage/ rear leg room. Basically, it might as well be a 2 seater. You can't fit anyone in the rear. Storage is kind of pitiful, especially when you put the T tops in the back.

I just updated my last post to say the repairs when you posted, haha. Just an intake manifold gasked that cracked, because the older Dex cool was kind of acidic for the rubber. They fixed that in early 2000's though. Mine's at 49k, was stored for 10+ years, so didn't get ran a lot. My cousin's Camaro has the 3.8, too though. He's running at 220k and I believe the only problem he had was an A/C compressor that blew.
What did you mean in the post where you said 3800 series II LS1 etc? I'm not a huge car guy. I know a little
The 3800 series II is the V6. It's a 3.8 for short. When you pop the hood right on top of the motor it will say 3800 series II. LT1 is the midlevel V8 motor in Firebird Formulas, lots of problems with that motor. LS1 is the beefy ass V8 motor in Firehawks/ Trans Ams that came from the Corvette line up.
