Update About Advertising on Grasscity Important: A New Chapter for Grasscity

I may have just done something very stupid?

    My plant is about a month old and 2 days into the sexing proccess, today I got completely baked with my new homemade bong and I was like hey, i'm going to top my plant! So I went up stairs and cut the entire top of my plant off, cutting the two leaves completely off forming on top. I may have just done something very stupid? I was baked!

    pretty dumb, might stress it to hermie, but ya never know, whats done is done, just let her grow for now :p and how about no more cutting till shes done? scissors and razors scare plants :rolleyes:

    Hmmm... its kinda hard to say without pictures. But in topping, you do remove the entire two, unformed, baby leaves. Down to where the stem starts.

    If you were to only remove about 2/3rds of these baby leaves then thats called FIMing.

    Both of these are valid and shouldnt stress the plants too much if they are still in Veg. Its a much worse idea if youre into flowering. But it sounds like you are growing indoors, so i cant say what stage they were in.

    Anyways, I topped my plants when they were vegging, didnt seem to stress them too much. None hermied. They did slow down growth, until the side branches started to take over. Its strange though, between the two new main branches, one branch seemed to take over as the more dominant(taller) one, atleast in my current grow. This might also have been caused by where the sun was hitting the most.

    I cut under the leaves leaving a little bit of leftover stem, ya I was pretty baked, and i'm just baked again! This is a forum full of stoners, you guys should expect misplaced topics like this made by peaple that just got done smoking about about quarter of east coast sour diesal.:p

    I just put a sign by my weed plant that says: If you are baked, just leave it alone.

    seems like a good idea for u lol... i messed up my first 2 plants because i was high so now i have told myself "dont do anything but look while high"
