  2. i was diggin' it, man. thanks for the free tracks! :smoke:

  3. Thanks dude enjoy^^

  4. diggin it! who would you say your main influences are?

  5. Influences? Probably Blockhead and Dan Deacon, and then to a lesser extent Bassnectar, Big Gigantic, Pretty Lights.

It's not similar to them really but they got me into it, and I pick up cues for things like "How do I want the bass/snare drum to sound?" "How audible should the drums be relative to the music?" from listening to these guys.

Thanks dude, glad you enjoyed :smoke:

    bitchin tunes, like them alot.

i would put some organic samples in there though, mabey a piano or some old soulish vocal sample from the 60's or some shit.
u deffo got potential though, ive tried making music on computers before and i just get stressed out and give up.

  7. Haha I like the way you think man

  8. Thanks for the kind words man. I'm definitely looking into "organic" samples, moreso voices to mess with/samples to chop up, but you're totally right. the samples make it a lot easier to connect with.

  9. I like it man! I play guitar bass and drums and im a huge electronic fan and ive been wanting to make electronic music for a while. What software do you use? I downloaded reason but i dont have a MIDI keyboard.

  10. Oh man right on dude :smoke:

    Sick records.

  11. My atari broke in 2011, so kick ass man, thanks for the music!!!!!!

Band camp is the shit, check it out, trust me.

And I'm a sucker for collabs, how do people go about doing them over distance? Just send the DAW file back and forth?

EDIT: Researched my own question, seems http://dropbox.com is the best solution for long distance collabs.

  13. I was worried that i looked like a dick just posting my link in someone's thread... didn't realize i got quoted already... and deleted the post.

Yeah, im sure there are many ways of making it happen.

send mixed tracks, have the another guy do drums, send it as a daw project file and have another guy mix and master... something like that.

  14. I took it out of my quote for ya. And me being baked out of my mind never actually got the chance to click the link lmao.

Could you PM me it? And what DAW are you using? I'll exchange with you my own music. :)

  15. Thank you, I loved those songs.

Please, keep up the fantastic productions.

  16. Out of curiosity OP, did you have your music mastered by a professional sound engineer? Did you master yourself? Or just went ahead and threw it on bandcamp?

    (Would be interesting to know)

  17. wonder who else on gc does electronic music? what if we made a nice mix tape featuring all the gc electronic artists?

  18. Thanks dude! I use a program called Reaper and free VSTs you can find online (google kvraudio). I got into it maybe two years ago, it's alot to learn but if it's what you want you should do it! I also play bass/percussion/ukulele, any musical background helps.
For drums, I use a software version of the old 808 hardware.
    Thanks for listening man!
Hahaha thanks dude, that's the newest one, glad you like it :smoke:
yeah, bandcamp is the shit man, anyone who wants to disperse their music should use it.
Yeah I mastered it myself. if I should take this as a compliment then thanks haha.

It's a lot of trial and error to learn to master but DAWs have plenty of tools for it. Look for what you want to stick out, use EQs well, then compress it all at the end to give it a finalized sound (and feel free to re edit and re render the song over and over until you get it right!)
I'm in, make a thread for it and you'll see me there.

Once again, thanks for checking it out guys, it means a lot because I spend a lot of time on this shit. Share it with any friends you think will enjoy it :smoke:
