  1. Ok guys so I love weed with all my heart all I wanna do is grow it and sell it to people and I've been doing that were I live but sadley I live in a non-MMJ state which sucks. So i've really started thinking about how much shit I could get into if I got caught and honestly I really don't wanna go to prison over a plant so i've been thinking of moving out to either Colorado or California and getting my MMJ card and eventually opening a dispensary. I am currentley a freshman in college and I really don't know what im gonna major but im considering some type of agriculture since I just love growing things. I think the idea is a good one and it would ultimatley make me happy because I could do what I love and not have to worry about going to jail or prison or even getting killed over a plant, but I really don't know how it would be moving to a different state and not knowing a single person there. I don't know guys what do you think.

  2. Move to Michigan, the house next door is for sale/rent/lease :)

Follow your gut. In a non mmj state, getting caught with 1 plant or 100 plants is still getting caught.
    As per your major.
I would recommend a business major. Take your Ag classes as personal enrichment.

  3. Thanks for the info, It's gonna be a hard decision I make big profits selling here but honestly i'd rather do everything legal and not be considered a criminal. And i've really been thinking of getting a business major.

Well. I am understandable partial to michigan, lol. But Colorado would be my 2nd choice to grow, then Oregon or Washington. Then Cali.
I have been growing for a total of just over 4yrs. Legally for 2. Granted, my first two years were of the "Plant and Pray" method, in the woods out back. :)
And truth be told, i am no less cautious.
My degree is in Restaurant Management. (I am a chef)
This has definitely helped me with my edibles recipes. :)

Either way, stay safe and grow grow grow. :)

  5. Hmmmm i'll have to think about michigan. How hard is it to get a MMJ card there.

I got my Caregiver card first. Then i got my patient card. This was not planned, however.
My patient friend didn't have the space to grow, I did.
Total cost to get CG card =$10
Total cost to get patient card =$175 (another CG friend paid my fees for my plant count, so in reality, it was free for me. I already have 5 patients, so she could grow more plants.)

As a patient you can grow 12 plants and posess 2.5oz useable. And grow for 4 other patients.
My fiance and i are both caregivers, so we can grow 12 plants per patient and posess 2.5 oz useable per patient. We are well under our plant count and it is easy to stay within the weight limit.

I hope that makes sense. Now Cali, OR, and WA allow you to have more weight. Not sure about CO.
    BUT
Mi. is still in need of quality CG's s. Too many patients not enough growers. A lot of people started but soon realized it wasn't for them. And then Dispensaries got shut down. There is now a big void, leaving room for good growers to move in and help fill the void.

    *edit*
There are 4 other growers in our group. We share genetics and take care of each other and our patients, when the other is low, or out.

  7. I live about two miles from the Ohio line. If I were busted growing for myself in Indiana I could get 5 years in prison but in Ohio it would just a be a small fine for the first offense.

Needless to say; I don't grow.

I'm going to move to MI as soon as I get a chance even though Alaska would be my first choice. Alaska is more remote and it's half a planet away. :smoke:

    Wow.

It is crazy the difference between states marijuana laws.

Alaska would be great, but my fiance would be miserable, lol. She barely tolerates michigan winters.

    *side note*
I watched the debates and damn near creamed myself when Ron Paul advocated Medical Marijuana. It isn't everyday that we get to hear that on national tv, in a positive and proactive manner.

  9. Just be careful with opening a dispensary. Thems DEA fucks are trollin like no ones bizniz.

  10. I don't think Alaska has any dispensaries though. I grew up there and have spent a lot of time there recently and haven't seen even one.

  11. I think if I remember right, it's because there isn't any MMJ laws there, it's just decriminalized. (Let me know if I'm wrong.)
