  1. its been a couple years since i pulled out my gear and have noticed that i dont have my socket for 70 watt HPS bulbs...the lights have a standard size socket, like a regular bulb...what im wondering is, can i hook up a regular socket to my ballast system without any problems?

  2. Yes, as long as the socket used is rated at 70+ watts and the correct volts.
Does your HPS have the standard black and white wires with a green ground wire?

I'd be careful with what socket you choose to use because those bulbs can get hot, I don't know about only 70 watts... but I'd look for something that's not cheap plastic.

  3. No. You need a socket like this:

Ceramic H.I.D. Medium Based Socket: Light Bulbs Etc, Inc.

  4. yeah, i think ill definatly be hitting up a ceramic socket...just in case...thanks!!
