as stated before, it's my first grow and I was afraid to. I was reading some things online that said you could prune autoflowers when they reached flowering, did anybody explain that to me and give me any tips if that's a good idea....5 gorilla cookies auto. This pic is 2 days old, in just 2 days that area completely filled out and they're stretched another two and a half 3 in.
No issue really I guess I'm just over reading, trying to make everything perfect. And amongst the reading I came across something that said you could prune some of the leaves away so they didn't block light from some of the lower bud sites
Next time don't over crowd ye tent. You are costing yourself weight and money. Looks like 2 plants for that small grow, might get in a 3rd, but they stretch some, and you always have to remember that they are gonna grow.
I have another closet that's set up but have not received the seeds to start you think it'd be beneficial to just split this one up, would it help to yield at this point if I did too and this and then three in my other area or is it beyond changing the yield like that at this point.
If you have room and/or another space and you can cover the footprint with the canopy of those plants spread out, it should improve your harvest. Whether you have 50 tops on five plants under your light or 20 tops on 2 bigger plants, you're still likely to see something in the same neighborhood in terms of yield as long as you are using all of the light you're putting down. More plants jammed into the same space is rarely going to increase your yield meaningfully and it usually sacrifices quality. Unless I'm testing plants, I would probably limit that space to one or two, maybe three and move the rest to your other space. They and you will likely be happier at the end of the show. Good luck. Girls look happy. Cheers
Here is an updated pic should I send things out and cut off the lower leaves and do some pruning I'm tired and let more light shine down through or just let it go.
