  1. And although I didn't get a lot of the shit, something about it I understood and think it's a beautiful movie. It was just so crazy...makes me wanna try shrooming again or acid for the first time.

  2. I would suggest watching the movie "Waking Life", which was by the same director and has the same animation. Overall, it's a better movie and has a more thought-provoking context. Definitely right for psychedelics.

  3. Awesome movie for sure. Saw it the night it came out compeltly ripped.

  4. I actually find I like to save movies like A Scanner Darkly or Requieum for a Dream for when I'm not ripped - but instead when I'm in a hard-core crash mode either from a really intense bender of uppers or just when the weed gives out. Mostly because when you're high the realization of some of the plots' twisted satires is a little easy to miss.

  5. A scanner darkly is about addiction, psychosis and death, heh. The animation is nifty but yeah, I'd prefer a happier movie when i'm on something. Requiem probably is even worse, heh. (Both good movies though, i just mean for atmosphere while altered.)

  6. To be completely honest with you, I didn't really like that movie.

  7. i loved it, i'm glad i watched it sober though, i think i would have been real confused high

  8. Waking Life is amazing. Definately check it out.

  9. thats actually one of my favorite movies. that line keanu reeves uses about little wonderous things is very intellegent. A waking life is good too, but I actually liked a scanner darkly a little better. not because of the story, or the thought provoking context, but more the meaning of what its like to be hopelessly addicted to something. I like it when he relized that he was addicted, and as sick as this sounds I really loved the ending. I mean wow, if thats not saying something about the government I dont know what does. The business man at the end, for some reason reminded me of GWB
