I just made my longest and most sophisticated post ever, while high.

  1. Over on the playstation forums.

    \t\t\tBecause over time, the cheap console would cost more for gamers, following these two linear functions...

    NORMAL:

    y=60x+600

    y= total cost
    x= price per single game

    YOUR IDEA:

    y=80x+50

    y= total cost
    x= price per single game

    So, lets say Sony supports PS3 for 10 years, and you buy five games a year at that price.

    You would be saving $100 US dollars per year with the more expensive console, but with cheaper games.

    Over ten years, that would be saving $1000 US dollars on games alone.

    You then subtract the original unit price from your idea price, 600 - 50 = 550.

    Then 550 from 1000, 1000 - 550 = $450.

    With the more expensive console in 10 years, you will have saved enough money for a good chunk of the Playstation 4.

    The person had a idea about selling PS3 for $50, and the games for $80, instead of the games for $60, and the console for $600

  2. uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...........

    good job? Im sorry but I just kinda skimmed it cause I saw x and y and math is some bullshit

  3. i saw playstation 4 and i was reminded of back to the future for some reason..

  4. The theory is bunk. The PS3 won't be supported for 10 years and I can guarantee it. That isn't how they're going to make money on it. They have to continually introduce new iterations of hardware to compete.
