  1. I think I just had a premenition, or something....

We as a human race are instinctivley trying to destroy ourselves. Its like this. Every dominant species has had a massive extinction by some huge event. The dinosaurs got a meteor, some other species before them could of been wiped out by a flood or ice age. There have been massive extinctions that we have survives too. You dont see any wolly mammoths or sabre-tooth tigers waltzing around lately, have you? We have evolved so much and so well that we can try to defend our saftet against mother nature. Heck, in some situations, we can control the weather by making it rain by creating clouds. So is it possible that we are still in the same direction as all other dominant species were, but in a different way? Do we have an instinct to destroy our own kind?

Think about it, there are many things that point in this direction. Racism, the theory of evolution, natural selection, Survival of the fittest, the social structre of our nations, religion, and so many other things. As far as racism goes, one group of people believes they detect a weakness in another race, and therefore wishes to eliminate this weakness, thereby the people in the race, to strengthen the species. We started out as a few different forms of humans! Homosapiens (us), Cro-Magnum, Neandertals, etc. Natural Selection might of taken care of most of the work of eliminating the other humans, but we sure didnt help. Now we are divided up amongst us Homosapiens into White, Black, Hispanic, Asian, etc. Now whether we are trying to kill a weaker species, or trying to kill a species we fear might one day take us over is not for me to say, that is a problem that can touch many a nerve, one which a solution only lies in the final answer. But we keep dividing from ourselves. Its like we have a half life. And though we will never truly die off, we will one day no longer be the dominant species. The dinosaurs have distant cousins, but there are few, if any, direct decendants. That was a basic survival of the strongest social structure. But now this game is more complicated than ever. So what can we do to come to the same conclusion? Destroy ourselves.

In my theory, we are born with one of two instincts. You are either a protector of the species, or you are a destroyer. Its decided just like you being a boy or girl. This instinct controls all of your thoughts and ideas on everything in society, though like boys and girls, they all grow and evolve differently. As to give an example of the two extremes, Adolf Hitler was a destroyer, and Buddah was a protector. Each of our lives take paths down the road on one team or the other. Some of us might be romatically or friendly linked to the other side, but you are on your path. Your path might skewer to the other side for a while, but you will ultimatley end where you belong, and have the affect on your cause that you were supposed to. Since the aggressor usualy gains power in any fight, however, there is a controlling side of this war. The destroyers are winning right now, as they are supposed to. We are successfully destroying ourselves, whether it be by bombs, guns, mcdonalds or our own minds, we are ticking our half life away. Our species is not going to live happily ever after, Im sorry to say. We are doing what we are supposed to do. And whether fate throws us a curve by destroying us naturally, or having us stick the gun in our own mouth, we will one day not be a dominant species. We have developed this instinct as a saftey measure incase space has spread out too far to deal us a blow, or our planet is too stable to erupt again. Or maybe this is just our end, this is how we are supposed to go. We will have our day. Some of us will survive. But while we are waiting for the apple trees and kitty cats to come back, a different earth will evolve infront of us, and we will no longer be the dominant species on this planet. Like I said, the dinosaurs have distant cousins, but do you see any velocaraptors sprinting around the plains of Nebraska?

Please, PLEASE feel free to leave any feedback or arguments. If you think this is total bullshit, and you want to let me know, great. I respect your opinion, even though you do not respect mine. I am not suicidal, I am not a gothic dark person. I am just a person, with an idea; And that my friends, is how revolutions start.

  2. most of that stuff actually makes sesnse. im definately a protector, and yeah, while everyone has different paths i can see were your coming from w/ the whole protecter and destroyer thing. good job :hello:

  6. many different ways have been devised to explain what thou have understood.
nothin new, been proven, now move on to next step: why .

  7. Yes, to but answer the question you must first fully understand the question. I needed to find a question that tickled my fancy before I could try and answer it, right?

  8. great read. i agree all the way, very interesting

  9. I was just wondering if anyone else had thoughts on this cause I started thinking about it again tonight....

  10. Yeah but what about our hormone influenced desire to have sex?

However, I'm kind of seeing what you are saying, but this is my 2 cents worth: every good action, produces another negative. So if you somehow made a point system for all the negative things and the positive things, they would cancel out. And as we advance with technology, we are killing ourselves. By being able to keep so many people alive, we drain ourselves of food and energy (not that food and energy is a problem now, but it will be). By having the internet and such advanced ways of communicating, we don't even need to leave the house to go to work, but we begin to lack excersise and people get fat.

By the way, I just realized something. Our hormone influenced desire to have sex could be a way of overpopulating us and creating more people to destroy to world. LOL, everything is a positive AND negative.

  11. i understand what your saying, and even though its an interesting realization, its not really a completely original thought. i've heard and been in a few discussions on this subject- the inevitable destruction of the human race... and i've come to the conclusion that... of course it will happen, some day... just not anytime soon. i have no idea what could finally bring the end, people seem to have infinite theories on an apocalypse, but they are mostly just empty theories with nothing to back them up. i know it has to happen someday though, the day when most life on earth will be ended, and i think that when that day happens, a new race will rise, and the life cycle will begin again.

  12. Its all quite simple. Love each other. Its an individual choice, if we all realize the essential sacredness of human life, their would be no death, no violence, no hate. Destruction of our race is inevitable, something will destroy us. But, destruction of each other is preventable. Only ignorance leads to death. Educate yourself and you will not destroy others.
