So in the past, all of my regular, reliable dealers just so happened to be my close friends as well. They were small scale, and would usually buy an ounce at a time and sell to close friends. I lived in a small-ish town, so most of the stoners from the various high schools all knew each other. This was my experience all through high school, I would hang out with my dealers all the time. Since then, I've moved to a bigger city to go to college. Luckily, I was able to find a reliable connection fairly quickly, but I found out what a real dealer is like. This guy sells a pound a week, and he's cool and all, but I've come to accept that we're not friends. It's quite a change for me that all I am to him is a client. Has anyone else had a similar experience? Sent from my HTC One SV using Grasscity Forum mobile app
I know where you're coming from. I joined this forum before my first time picking bud up and people seem to always offer to smoke out the dealer, but in the UK it's completely different. It's always a business transaction and that's it, unless you're good friends with the dealer. Sent from my GT-S7500 using Grasscity Forum mobile app
I wish it was like this in the USA. Maybe because the culture is different here and people will fake being your friend just to get a better deal or to get smoked out for free. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Real dealers are cool right? Fun Fact: One of my dealers dealer sells 10 pounds A WEEK (dat shit cray) he bought a plot of land and built a customized house on 1/2 acre of land. Thats pretty big area for a house in the USA. He makes around $50,000 a week of which $7,500 is gone for the upkeep of his grow/plants/weed. Imagine being a drug lord that powerful...
^You had me til drug lord lol Nobody tells anybody what they make AND ESPECIALLY if they grow... Sounds like some bs
Lets see 10 pounds a week at retail of 5k would be 50k, too bad a lb isnt anywhere near 5k. And anyone who would pay you that or over 3500 for anything is an idiot
Ya for all I know he could just be exagerating/hyping himself up. Im just tellin you what he told me it seems pretty believable to me cuz obviously he doesnt wanna tell me everything about his connect, but still imagine selling enough weed to make $50,000 A WEEK. Fuck a month or year, you could make more than any rapper and many millionaires.
If he sold many HP or QP's I think the math could work out, remember at that level you already have regular customers that come on a weekly or bi-weekly basis so there is little to no risk of loss of profit. And $3,500 for a pound is pretty cheap unless its like high reg. Since I used to live in Michigan (med state) I know I can get a pound of high grade really good stuff for $4000 and a HP here is like $2,250. Sell 8 HP's and you already got an average of $5,000 a pound. The power of math and street logic has now entered your cranium.
That's more the norm for me, all of my dealers so far have just been business transactions. I actually prefer it that way.
okool ur guy gets a elbow a week ever seen a pallet of weed before? lmfao lol now that guy. he didnt even try it but just the power that he sweated out, was alluring i guess is a good word im glad i got away from all that lol
pound a week round here is nothing but we have medical and caregivers..oz is 175-200 from my dude and he even sells eighths for 25..hes perpetual and can still barely keep up with demand
I'm not saying a pound a week is a lot, I'm saying its way more than my other connects used to sell. Enough to qualify this guy as an actual dealer. Sent from my HTC One SV using Grasscity Forum mobile app
SWIM sells on a minor scale usually a O maybe 2 a week in a small town. SWIM tells me that when you are involved with money you can't give anyone the title of friend everyone is just a client. When they think they are a friend they ask for fronts, smokeouts, etc. On top of that since they believe they are your friend rather than a client they are less inclined to pay you any money owed. By keeping business and friends separately SWIM is able to show customers he cares by giving a fatter bag every now and then for their continued business. Something that would not happen from all the loss of profit if SWIM adds friends to business who would abuse these privileges. So yes this is from a drug dealers' perspective straight from SWIM.
I get what you're saying. The difference is, I've been friends with these guys since grade school. Since before we even knew what weed was. So when they became dealers, I was already close friends with them and they knew I could be trusted. Sent from my HTC One SV using Grasscity Forum mobile app
not true for me and ive been hooking people up for 15yrs..lots of my friends are dealers and my main dealer is my friend..we front to everyone and get fronted to all the time just depends on your rep..Ive got lbs fronted to me and I always pay my debts which is handy if you are broke..several times ive went from no money to a few hundred bucks in a few hrs and in return i hook them up when i have the chance..I also deal with responsible adults though so that makes a difference..i think that kind of relationship is the best because I trust everyone i deal with and havent been burned in a long time (knock on wood)
I have people like this and people that are close friends, and both have their benefits. Having friends as dealers is good to hang out and be comfortable with but if you just wanna pick up and smoke on your own you get stuck talking to them or staying there for a while sometimes. Having a strictly business dealer is good because you don't have to force any smalltalk, the amount of times I've had a dealer force small talk that's just not needed because they're uncomfortable with awkward silence or wanna fake friendship, I just wanna get my green and go smoke. Make the most out of it.
So you have never had a problem with any of the customers you've fronted in 15 years? SWIM wishes he had your luck!
