I Just Can't Catch A Break!

  1. It seems that the Evansville PD raided several smoke shops in town and took everything that they considered illegal. Including the hemp buds that are supposed to be legal under the 2018 Farm Bill. Nope, all it took was the DEA putting out a statement declaring that Delta 8 and other synthetics are illegal. And every vape store, convenience store, etc. I wondered why Fresh Thyme didn't have ANY CBD products, at least while I was there I didn't see any. I think that proves my theory that if the POTUS ordered the DEA to reschedule cannabis, Indiana would still make it illegal. That means that the ones that don't support legalization need to be voted out. And that means it is up to the voters. And from what I've seen from the last election, Indiana is MAGA country. They have succeeded in banning books, banning abortion, banning transgender support, banning hemp flowers, prosecuting librarians that stock banned books, and prosecuting teachers if they discuss transgender with students. Next, they will probably ban interracial marriage. Indiana has officially stepped off the deep end. I have never been so homesick in my life. God! I miss Kentucky!!

  3. Sorry to tell you but teachers discussing gender mutilation to be "who you want to be" to children is disgusting and it shouldn't be tolerated. I'm disappointed to hear you think this is ok because it's not. A child goes to school for an education not to be bombarded with ideologies that mutilating yourself is normal when it isn't.

  4. Perhaps I benefit more from a time where at the very least you went to jail for simple possession, but to me anything legal is temporary until the federal government legalizes it.

Hell, I can go to jail where I am now for the joint I'm gonna go smoke...Gotta roll it first though, I'm wrestlin' with motivation due to the joint I just smoked earlier. Ultimately, my feelin' is that it is only illegal when you get caught.*

*I am not an attorney, do not take legal advice from me, you will end up in jail...Probably.:coolalt:

  5. For fascism to flourish, thinking must be stopped, and information/conversation must be biased; books encourage people to think, and encourage the questioning of the status quo… Red states leaders don’t represent their voters, they rule over them,,, and as they continue to ban books and to tighten control of the narrative, the power to rule will only grow stronger…

I certain sure pleased I’m not in Indiana, but, the DEA is everywhere…

    As things stand now, the federal government can’t legalize cannabis;
“The argument is pretty straightforward: The 1961 Single Convention on Narcotic Drugs provides that parties “shall take such legislative and administrative measures as may be necessary . . . to limit exclusively to medical and scientific purposes the production, manufacture, export, import, distribution of, trade in, use and possession of” cannabis, among other drugs. Having joined the treaty in 1967, the United States is bound to comply.”

  6. I don't know. I grew up with a mom who smoked pot. Her dealer most my life was an old school gay guy who owned a nursery. She'd get her weed, go home and smoke. No cops ever showed up because she wasn't doing anything stupid. Just saying :D

  7. That is not discussed in schools that I know of. No one supports gender reassignment for children and no surgeon that I know of will operate on a underage child that is not done growing. If a man or a woman decides to change their sex, who am I to say anything? They are not hurting me. Are they hurting you? Tolerance is something we lack in this world and something Jesus tried, in vain it looks like, to teach us. This looks like what is going to cause the United States to split into two countries. One country with forward-thinking views, freedom, and tolerance. And the other country with extreme views, everyone is white, caucasian, heterosexual, and religious. I believe in God and Jesus, but I don't think God wanted us to be like this. Hateful. I'm sure he is disappointed. And, IMO, anyone who believes in the MAGA curriculum should just go to a state where tRUMP is loved, everyone is white, and organized religion is king, the Republican party is played on the radio all day. I'm 61 and from what I've seen of the world changing for the worst in states that are close to home for me, it's saddening and my mom, before she died, said that I haven't seen anything like it in my 83 years. I guess I will be moving to a more liberal state.

  8. Yeah, I have a bunch of health problems that I think I would benefit from cannabis and I have a new diagnosis of Alzheimer's, and as long as it's illegal, I can't partake of the fruit. I guess I will just let nature take its course, and the sad thing about it, nobody cares. My daughter thinks that cannabis, as long as it's illegal federally, it's evil. And shouldn't be used.

  9. It is flourishing a lot in Indiana. My oldest daughter is straight and narrow. She believes by living by the federal law and since alcohol is legal, it's ok. Doesn't matter that alcohol is a drug too and it kills people every year.

  12. I wasn't really going to chime in but you seem to have quite the opinion of
MAGA... If making America great again offends you so much you should get the hell out of town.

    I mean I would.

I wouldn't want to stay in a place that I feel so oppressed, suppressed, compressed, repressed, and depressed.
Possibly these countries might be a better fit for you. ?

Possibly China or maybe North Korea or maybe Iran might be better places for you.

    Or

Maybe you should move to Kingston PA or New York City or LA or Portland OR San Francisco St Paul Seattle.

I'm sure you would love it in one of those cities it's still America kind of.
You mite get right along with everybody. ???

Give it a go.. Hey you're only 61 hell give it a try. If you want I'll come down and help you pack your bags. If you're going to leave the country.
I ain't too far from you up here in Michigan.

Just wanting to give a helping hand to a disgruntled American that obviously doesn't love her country no more... I'm sure you'll find a social structure in China or North Korea to be quite better LOL maybe you can find a medical help you need I've heard they've got really good hospitals there. China has a tofu construction you'll love it.

    Bye-bye Felicia.

  14. goverment is fascist both parties are too blame for weed still being illegal and jobs drug testing because they are authoritarian corporations. Red blames blue , blue states blame red but both parties failed so far .both parties have had total government control at various times neither legalized weed.

  15. Yeah, I know. The thought crossed my mind but with my teenage granddaughter in the house, I don't want to take that chance. I guess I will work on my wine collection and wait to see if it ever becomes legal on a federal level if I live that long.

  16. I will have to agree with you on that.

  17. As I pointed out, and added a link, the federal government has to break international treaty to legalize weed; not likely that will happen any time soon,,, no matter who is in power in the federal government…
