This is pretty weird. My wife has noticed it too so I know it's not just all in my head. haha My plants have nearly zero odor where they are growing, but the smell of them growing is quite strong in an entirely different area! It's freaky. In the grow tent, even with nose up against the plants it's hard to smell them at all, though if you get a bit of resin on your fingers you can definitely smell the terps on your fingers. So the terps are there... but they just aren't there in the air! Except they are... under the stairs in a different room where there are no plants, nothing growing, and never has been! I'm in a legal state and my grow is within legal limits so it's not an issue of legality or safety. It's just damned perplexing. It's almost as if the plants are practicing olfactory ventriloquism. lol Anyone else experienced this? I can understand the smell of the plants blowing somewhere else, but without the aroma being where the plants are? Weird.
From my time in the heating industry while also renovating a old house and growing has taught me that air moves through the smallest of holes and will go where there is the least pressure. Some times I've can back to the house and 2 houses away you swear some one had an op near by, get to my house and nothing. Get in and nothing. Air flow can be mysterious.
Yeah, I think that's it. It's pretty funny, though... I've been wondering why my plants don't smell and my wife has been looking at me like I'm crazy. And then I went to get something from under the stairs... lol
