  1. Well, to quote Dylan Moran,

I hate it sooo much! I have to get up early in the morning, just to hate it cos there isnt time enough in the day! ooooh, i hate it so much it gives me energy!

lol, i had to go to work early the other day to set it up and sell it, and nobody came in till WELL past our normal opening time!!

I dont have naything against the book, i did read the first one, just ot see what was going on. Its well wrote, well tohught out plot and charecters, i just think theres that much hype about it that alot of ppl are conditioned to like it. I know one guy who read the whole think in 11 hours, just to know the story!!! thats just wrong!

    Dinengaging rant mode

  2. I don't like it either.

  3. I'ma read it soon.

You heard of the dumbarse who comitted suicide after he overheard someone telling a central plot in the book? Kinda gets out of hand :D

  4. yeah. its not so much a bad book, as just too much hype around it, then because of that clever marketing making ppl millions

  5. i hate it to but sadly ive bee bored to watch the 3movies on hbo :(

  6. man harry potter is this shizzlerizzledizzlefizflapskillzedizllebap! when i was in gr 5 and i read the first book before it had BLOWN THE FUCK UP i never knew a book could be so good! now i read everything. honestly in my opinion i dont think people are conditioned to like it i think they like it because it just rocks. just like jesus christ. hes one cool muthafucka. jk. im a non believer.

  7. its a well written book but it gives kids a unhealthy imagination about becoming a wizard/witch

my cusin thinks the book tells of a real school

read something good like the Davinci Code

  8. the books are fucking awesomely written. thats why i like it. fuck hype.

-i hate the HP movies btw. books fuckin pawn though. got thorugh w/ the 6th book in like a day.

  9. i'm not a fan of harry potter but i don't bash it like some people. "harry potter is gay. that shit's for kids." but, i do think at this point all harry potter books are being manufacted, not created. anyone wanna argue with that? not saying jk rowling (spelling?) is only in it for the money, but i'm saying how much imagination and time honestly goes into the books if she's running on deadlines and not writing them like she started out.

  10. i think the 6th book kinda seemed like that sirseedy. 4 and 5 kicked ass though. 6 kicked ass to. i just think it oculd have been better.

  11. I want to make sure that I understand you correctly. Are you suggesting that we should avoid Harry Potter, because some young readers of the series have a tendency to allow their imaginations to run wild, while also advocating that we read The DaVinci Code? If you are worried about the implications of individuals becoming infatuated with fiction to the point of accepting it as fact, it seems that Dan Brown's book would be first on your list of recent literature to avoid.

  12. i never liked harry pothead=\

  13. Ugh, everyone has finished book 6 but me, it seems. My mom pre-ordered it, but she has to wait until Friday to pick it up :wah: As soon as I get it I'm going to spend all day with the phone turned off reading it.

  14. I know nothing about Harry Potter outside of that the books/movies are popular.

  15. LMFAO!!! That's awesome! Thank you!

But yeah... I've never read any of the Harry Potter books. I like the movies though. They're not the greatest, but they don't entirely suck either. Something different is good every now and then :)

Anyone ever read any of the Left Behind series? This is just outta curiosity, btw, not trying to start a debate or anything... I bring it up because someone mentioned how they thought the 6th HP book seemed rushed. The same thing happened with the Left Behind series. The first 8 books were totally awesome (save for the 7th, which just seemed to drag, as 400 pages were used to describe the events of just 3 days, LOL)... But 9-12 seemed to just fly by. They skipped over months worth of time in just a paragraph, and would give little summeries of what took place during this time... It was such a disappointment. Great series, over-all, but they could have ended it MUCH better.

  16. How on earth does it do that?

  17. I have heard of the left behind series cottons. I have read the first book, i remember it being good. I think some day i'm going to try to read a couple more of them. What do you think about them cottons? Are they accurate to the writing in the bible?

And for Harry Potter, i have read the first five books. The fifth one i honestly dont remember a thing about except them waiting in some mansion and a fight in some secret underground headquarters near the end. Whats the sixth one like? Was it really rushed?

  18. i dont like the books because i dont read those types of books, im more into dystopias like 1984 and Brave new world (if anyone wants to read bnw but doesnt feel like buying it pm me and ill send u the link to the book). But i liked the movies because theyre a little different and just interesting. Im not so into it that id pick it over say half baked or super troopers, but they were nice to watch once.

  19. exactly what im suggesting

just wait and see when these kids grow up

  20. im glad i got negative rating for my opinion, thanks for being adults and listening to each others opinions

    i salute you
