One unopened Ron Diez and an opened absolut... It is gonna be -18 tonight, do I need to bring these in?
Ive left booze to long in the freezer and the bottles break, I have no cluehow cold a freezer gets. I would though just incase man. Better safe then sorry right?
"80 proof vodka will freeze at approximately -26.95 C or -16.51 F. 100 proof vodka will freeze at approximately -40.43 C or -40.78 F (Pure ethanol, the active ingredient in vodka, freezes at −114.3 C)." http://wiki.answers.com/Q/What_is_the_freezing_point_of_vodka
Well will the bottles crack? It is in my clothes bag and 1 i dont wanna lose my booze and 2 i don't want to have my clothes smell like booze
Too high i forgot to answer the whole questoin... As long as the liquid inside the bottle doesn't freeze, i don't think there will be any added pressure on the glass...right? I would probably bring them in unless you feel like a science experiment.
i vote just take them out to be on the safe side. or is your car really far from where you are? but being in your clothes will also provide some warmth.. i think. you're probably safe. -18 isn't that cold.. *edit* nevermind.. you're probably talking about fahrenheit... in which case, i have no idea how cold that is.
in the time it would have taken to log in to the computer, log on this site, start a new thread, and post replies....i would have already had the bottles in my house, with three shots down the hatch.
Glad ya got em. If ya left it in there they'd freeze up and crack. Prolly can explode. (Edit: Obviouslly depending on the alch content.)
